Tam is NOT an emo because they die their hair black (he has naturally black short straight hair ok maybe the bangs but not long ones), he doesn't dress in tight pants (that is what they do apparently), they are typically quiet (Tam isn't but he isn't loud either), examines thoughts/feelings (Tam doesn't really do that all the time but he doesn't not do that either), shy (Linh was the shy one of the two even in the beginning), creative (that does not go to Tam as far as I am aware), they spend time only with people who like their stuff, the have deep emotions (this might fit him but I'm unsure), they also wear band shirts (Tam doesn't wear band shirts), unsure about statement patterns, they don't have bands to listen to so he can't be one because that is one way, SH/extreme anger/extreme sadness aren't really part of it so it doesn't fit him except the second one when it comes to his parents, they like being alone and dark colored tight clothing with inward focused emotions.
