Third person's pov!

"It is my business, because you are mine, damn it!" Siddharth bit out angrily and slammed a hand over the top of his car, startling everyone.

Nidhi was trembling. She didn't understand whether it was because of anger or any other emotion, listening to his passionate declaration.

"Parth, please take Priya and go for a walk. I want to talk to Nidhi." Siddharth told his brother, without taking his eyes off Nidhi.

Parth nodded and quickly pulled a shocked Priya away from there, before she could even respond.

"What do you think you are doing, Mr Raichand? This is a public place." Nidhi said furiously.

"I don't care what others think, Nidhi." Siddharth bit out and Nidhi let out a mirthless chuckle.

"Of course. You are The Great Siddharth Singh Raichand. Above God! You don't care what mere mortals like us think about you." Nidhi said with a scoff.

"Nothing in our life is going to change depending on what others think about us." Siddharth said, trying to contain his anger.

"Maybe not for you. But we are simple middle class people. It matters to us, Mr Raichand." Nidhi said adamantly.

"Nidhi.."

"No. You listen to me. I have tolerated enough of your tantrums and whims. I belong to a conservative middle class family, Mr Raichand. Above everything, we value our respect and reputation. We came to Mumbai because our family was struggling financially. We are here, because we wanted to help our parents out. When we decided to move to Mumbai, many people came to Papa and said never to let the girls out of their sight. That it is easy for girls to get ruined when they reach big cities like Mumbai. Do you know what my Papa told them?" Nidhi asked.

"Nidhi.."

"Papa said he has immense faith in his daughters. That he would close his eyes and blindly trust that we will never do anything that would ruin his respect." Nidhi said.

"I understand all that, Nidhi. I respect all that.." Sid began to speak, but Nidhi cut him off in between.

"You don't, Mr Raichand. You just said you don't care what people say about you. Because of that attitude of yours, you clearly know what your reputation is. A playboy. A rich playboy, who changes girlfriends like changing tee shirts. If my name is associated with you in any way, do you have any idea what that would do to a middle class family like ours? People would start believing that I am an immoral girl, shameless enough to get involved in relationships with a man like you. So, I request you, please don't ruin my reputation and my family's respect." Nidhi said and walked away and Siddharth couldn't bring himself to stop her.

On the other side, Priya snapped out of daze when Parth pulled her to another side of the temple.

"What are you doing, Parth ji?" Priya snapped angrily.

"Bhai wants to talk to Nidhi. Let's give them some privacy." Parth said softly.

"No. I don't trust him not to hurt her. He has done that too many times. Not anymore." Priya said and turned to go get Nidhi.

Parth quickly held Priya's arm, stopping her.

"He will not hurt her anymore. He loves her." Parth said with a smile.

"That's what he says." Priya said with a scoff.

"Let's talk about us," Parth said, pushing his specs up his nose.

An act, Priya always found so endearing.

"There is no US, Parth ji. We already talked about this in the morning." Priya said, hiding her ache well.

"If I make my mother agree, will you accept me Priya?" Parth asked earnestly.

"If.." Priya said with a sad smile.

"No. When I make my mother agree, will you accept me, Priya?" Parth rephrased his sentence

"I don't think it is likely to happen, Parth ji. Don't waste your time and energy on impossible things." Priya said and before Parth could say something, Nidhi stormed towards them.

"Priya di, shall we leave?" Nidhi asked.

"Yes,"

The sisters walked away and the brothers stood watching them go.

Once they were out of sight, Parth went to his brother and was shocked to see the broken look on Siddharth.

He hurried towards Siddharth.

"Bhai? What happened? All okay?" Parth asked anxiously.

"Parth, drop me at the farmhouse and you go home." Siddharth somehow got the words out.

Parth reluctantly nodded his head and drove the car towards Siddharth's farm house in the outskirts of Mumbai..

VYAS HOUSE

"What do you know about this Viraj?" Chandni asked Nidhi and Priya when Bhadra Bua was out of earshot.

Nidhi and Priya looked up at their mother curiously.

"He is a property dealer. And an orphan. He only has a grandmother. Why Amma?" Priya asked curiously.

"He was here today. His behaviour, I found it odd. Something was off about him." Chandni said, making the sisters frown.

"He was very polite and he was taking extra efforts for the sale of the plot. He even arranged for a token advance to be given before signing the agreement." Nidhi said.

"Just be careful, okay. He is a stranger after all." Chandni said and quickly changed the topic when Bhadra Bua came back.

"Priya, Nidhi, take leave from the office next Wednesday." Bhadra Bua said.

"Why Bhadra Bua?" Nidhi asked curiously.

"There is a pooja for unmarried girls being held at the Shiv mandir. You two should fast and do the pooja." Bhadra Bua said and Nidhi's cheeks burned remembering Siddharth asking the pandit if there is any pooja for unmarried men.

"Aye haye. Look at her. Blushing at the thought of marriage." Bhadra Bua teased making Nidhi pout.

"I don't think that rakshas will give us leave, Bhadra Bua." Nidhi said, remembering him dragging her off to his name under the disguise of work, when he saw her enjoying at the mall with her friends.

And after the way she talked to him today, his ego and pride must have gotten severely wounded and there is no way he would give her a day off.

At the same time, Viraj Parikh and Sanjay Dutta were sitting across a table in a dimly lit bar, having a glass of whiskey in each of their hands, plotting ways to trap Nidhi and Priya..

A/N

Adding a villain and his moves in between a romance story is kinda tough.. 🥲

Let's see how I am able to incorporate Viraj and his plans into this.. No guarantee on writing it perfectly..
