Silence... the noise of everyone cheering faded away and all that was left was... silence. Tender but intense, filled with the weight of unspoken feelings and years of friendship. That was how I could describe the feeling of Ryan's lips on mine. The pounding of his heart against my hands on his chest was the only thing that told me this was real. A burning sensation ran through my body as I was as still as a statue unable to move.
This moment that stretched out for eternity finally ended when he pulled back. I slowly opened my eyes to find him doing the same. Those piercing Royal blues were brighter than ever, with a layer of uncertainty. My gaze flicked to his lips as he bit down waiting for me to say something.
... .... .... ...
Not a single thought was in my head, I just knew my body felt something it had never felt before and it wanted more.
I don't know who moved first but our lips were back on one another. This time it was hungry and desperate like we couldn't get enough. He stepped forward forcing me to move till my back hit the wall. A gasp and moan flew out of my mouth as he covered mine with his, giving his tongue the opportunity to explore. We were fighting for dominance but I knew he would win.
My hands tightened around the front of his shirt trying to pull him closer. I didn't want to stop. Ryan's hand slid to the small of my back, pulling me against him.
I'm not close enough
As if reading my mind, his hands roamed down my body until they were on either thigh lifting me up. My back was flushed up against the wall even more as my fingers tangled in his hair pulling at the base causing him to groan into me. His hands roamed higher till he was cupping my ass and the feeling of a firm grip made me moan again.
"Guys are you out he-" A loud gasp came causing us to freeze. We slowly pulled away from each other, slowly moving our heads to the side. Lori stood there eyes wide, mouth gaped open as her eyes darted between the both of us. Ryan quickly placed me back on my feet and created some space between us. I could see her processing what she had just seen as I readjusted my clothing and Ryan stood there with his hair and shirt disheveled with hands in pocket. My gaze traced down and widened, able to tell the obvious hard on he was sporting from our most recent activity. Before he could see I ripped my eye away back to shell shocked Lori.
Without a single word she slowly turned the way she came and darted back into the house.
"Lori!" I said before turning to Ryan, barely able to meet his eyes, "I should go after her." I was off the balcony before he could reply.
The crowd was thick but I was able to move through at such a quick pace that my feet barely felt like they were touching the ground. My body was still coming down from the high I had been on. Catching up to Lori I grabbed her arm bringing her to an empty hallway she conveniently passed.
"Lori stop," I turned her to face me but she wasn't saying anything, "I can explain."
She shrugged, speaking nonchalant, "No explanation needed here."
"Then why did you leave like that?"
She narrowed her eyes at me, "I'm sorry, you expected me to stick around after seeing the two of you about fuck each other?"
"We weren't going to... I don't even know what that was it -"
"I'll tell you what that was" she folded her arms and gave me the most I told you so face I have ever seen in all our years of friendship, "That was 20 years of pent up sexual tension coming to the surface."
"We don't have sexual–", the look on Lori's face said it all, I sighed, "whatever. Can we go?"
"What about Ryan?" She said sincerely.
