Dean wasn't one for romance, more of a one night stand kinda guy. He never called those he did have the one night stands with, he didn't think it wasn't important. The hunter swore he would never be in love, due to his job, and because he didn't see what was so good about it.

That was all about to change.

Castiel was fascinating to Dean, the way he furrowed his brow and tilted his head when he didn't understand something, to his piercing blue eyes, Dean was obsessed.

Now, Castiel being a little new to human emotion didn't see how Dean's eyes would linger on him, or the way Dean would constantly look at his lips rather than in the eye. But soon, maybe a little while in to the apocalypse, when Dean was ready to give into Zachariah's demands, ready to be The Michael Sword, that Castiel realized he truly had something for Dean. Maybe it was his eyes, green as the tree tops in the Amazon flecked with gold, or maybe it was his voice, rough and demanding when it needed to be, but soft and comforting at times. Yes, Castiel was madly in love with Dean Winchester.

And he couldn't take another minute of not being with him.

Dean was simply walking along, going to his room he was staying in at the time Bobby was letting them stay. Castiel followed, pushing Dean against the wall, chest to chest, the hunters arms pinned above his head.

"C-Cas what the hell are you doing?!"

Castiel didn't say anything at first, just taking in every detail of Dean, from his eyes to his lips, he was in a trance.

"Dean I have something to tell you."

"Can't you let me go? Tell me like a normal person?"

"No, I can't do that, I believe this is not the usual thing an angel would say to a human. It is of high importance."

Dean's gaze was stern, but it hid that he was anxious of how Castiel was pressed against him, if he could just lean forward just a little bit maybe he could finally taste those lips he longed for.

"Alright Cas, what's on your mind?"

Castiel bit his lip, it was hard to say, since he was never allowed to feel sentiment for another angel, let alone a human, but now, years of longing struggled on his lips. The angel finally took a deep breath,

"Dean Winchester, ever since I first saw you, in hell, I knew something about you, though at the time I wasn't quite sure what it was, was special. Maybe that was what drove me to grip you tight and raise you from Perdition, to save you from eternal damnation, but even as I left my hand print on you, I knew in more ways than one, we would be connected-"

"Cas.."

"Let me finish."

Castiel gave Dean a stern look that shut the hunter up with no smart comment or so much as a sigh,

"What I'm trying to say, is that Dean Winchester I love you."

It was silent. So silent that if a pin were to drop, it would be heard through out the hallway. Sapphire clashed on emerald as the two men stared deep into each others eyes, the silence stretching out a little to long for Castiel's taste.

Soon, Castiel took the silence as rejection, sighing in defeat,"I apologize, I should have stayed quiet-" Dean didn't let Castiel finish, he closed the space between them, kissing him as if he couldn't breathe without the angel.

Castiel kissed back in an instant, cupping the sides of Dean's face. Lips moved in sync, teeth clashed as tongues danced a fiery dance of passion. This kiss was something that sealed the deal, that showed the other that yes, he felt the same way.

Soon, Castiel pulled away, lips red and swollen, a smile on his lips. Dean returned that smile, sarcasm and cocky attitude gone.

"I love you, Dean."

"I love you too, Cas. Always have, always will."

Dean was true to his word, he loved Castiel, forever and always.
