Why? (Destiel)

Castiel walked up to Dean one day out of the blue, sniffling like he was about to cry,

"D-Dean?"

The hunter looked up from cleaning his gun, a look of concern crossing his face,

"Hey hey." Dean opened his arms, "Come here and tell me what's wrong."

Castiel ran into Dean's arms and began to sob into his shirt,

"Come on angel, tell me what's wrong."

The angel looked up at Dean 29th sad eyes, the tears subsiding a little,

"W-Why must you humans b-be so mean to each other of sexuality?"

Dean furrowed his brow for a moment, trying to think of where the angel had picked this up from, when he finally remembered what he had saw himself on the news this morning,

"Is this about the thing that happened in Orlando?"

Castiel nodded and buried his face into Dean's chest,

"W-Why Dean?!" The angel cried into the hunters chest as his shoulders raked with sobs,

"People don't understand why a guy likes a guy, or a girl likes a girl, or even why a person might likes everyone. So, instead of trying to understand it, they hate it and just want it to go away."

The angel sniffled, as the sobs began to subside,

"We will n-never be in a situation like that... Will we?"

Dean shook his head and kissed the others raven black hair,

"Never, I'll protect you Cas."

Castiel wrapped his arms tight around the hunter and sighed shakily,

"I see why Lucifer hated humanity now."

Dean chuckled, "I agree, but you know, not all humans are bad."

The angel nodded against Dean's chest,

"I know.. But the rare good hearted human is hard to find today.."

Dean knew this to be true, even if he wanted it not to be,

"Well, babe, all we can do is simply keep doing what we're doin' and not hate on anybody."

Castiel looked up with innocent eyes,

"Even the demons?"

Dean laughed, "Yes Cas, even the demons."
