Gabriel always had an unhealthy obsession with lights. May they be the colorful lights Dean and Sam took out at Christmas time, or the LED lights found on the fish tank Castiel liked to keep in the library of the bunker. The archangel always seemed to be attracted to them like a moth, his golden whiskey eyes wide as he watched their glow with a childlike wonder.

Sam knew all too well of this obsession, his heart melting each time his boyfriend would run like a giddy child to any kind of lights. One day, however, his brain worked over this thought especially hard, Sam sitting in the library with his fingers drumming on the wooden desk in front of him.

"Sam, what is it that troubles you?" The moose jumped in his seat, and realized that Castiel had appeared across from him and had a very confused look on his face. Sam sighed and looked back down at the table, his fingers beginning their drum beat once more,

"I... I'm trying to work out an idea I have for Gabriel, but I'm not sure it'll work."

"Well, maybe if you were to tell me, I could help you solve your problem."

Sam bit his lip, looking up at the blue eyed angel sitting across from him,

"I want to propose to Gabriel... But I want the setting to be covered in lights. The little lights, you know what I'm talking about." Castiel nodded slowly, pursing his lips as he thought on what Sam had said.

Castiel leaned forward, about to speak when the archangel came bounding into the room with a sucker in his mouth,

"Oh look, it's a secret meeting of the subs!!!" Sam blushed and rolled his eyes,

"Hey there short stack." Gabriel smirked and rolled the sucker over his tongue. Castiel moved into Sam's ear, whispering his plan and quickly disappearing into thin air. Sam looked at his soon to be husband, a huge smile on his face,

"Gabey? I have to run an errand."

Gabriel grumbled and pouted, aggressively making his cup of coffee as he mulled over the thoughts in his head. For the past couple of weeks Castiel and Sam had been sneaking around with each other, and never allowing Gabriel to join in on their "secret meetings." The archangel snatched up the cup of coffee, and sat down at the kitchen table. He didn't want to admit it to himself or even out loud, but he couldn't help it. Gabriel knew what it looked like and it killed him to even begin to think it let alone say it, that's when Sam walked in.

"Hey Gabey baby, I have something I wanna ask you." Sam bounded over to his angel, a huge smile on his face. He held out his hand to Gabriel, "C'mon." The archangel looked at his hand, and back up at the moose,

"Finally gonna include me in on your secret meetings with Cas?" He huffed up, taking a long sip of his coffee. Sam seen the jealousy etched on the features of his face, and took his hand anyway. Pulling him to stand on his feet, Sam smiled at him and kissed his hand,

"Follow me, you'll see what those meetings were about."

"Sam..." Gabriel went to speak, but was quickly cut off with a swift kiss to the lips. The moose pulled away and smiled softly at his future husband,

"Just trust me. Please?" Gabriel felt a smile crack open on his face, gripping Sam's hand tight and walking out of the bunker with him. Sam led him down a winding pathway outside the bunker, looking back occasionally to smile at him. The archangel would smile back, eventually saying,

"Are you taking me to a secluded spot to kill me?" Sam responded with a bitch face for the ages. After what seemed like years of walking finally led the couple to a secluded spot in the woods, a spot surrounded by high trees and a perfect circle in the middle to allow the moon to shine down on the two men. Sam smiled,

"Listen angel, about what I had to ask you..." Gabriel raised an eyebrow, smirking a little as he watched Sam walk over to a tree,

"It's better if I just show you." He plugged something in and suddenly the entirety of the little spot was lit with firefly lights. The lights surrounded Gabriel, covering him in a soft yellow glow as he spun to see them all. He stopped suddenly on a set of lights arranged into words, and read them aloud.

"Will... You... Marry... Me?" Gabriel gasped, and turned to find his moose. That's when he realized Sam had already dropped to one knee behind him. The archangel felt a rush of emotion cloud his eyes with tears, love and contentment filling his heart. Sam smiled lovingly at his angel, and opened the black box in his hand. Gabriel nodded rapidly, jumping forward and tackling the moose and attacking him with kisses. Sam chuckled, wrapping his arms around the shorter man.

After a moment or two, the pair broke apart long enough for Sam to slip the ring on his finger,

    "I love you moosey..."

"And I love you short stack." Sam placed his hand on Gabriel's cheek, and pulled him close to kiss him.
