You burst into laughter as soon as you received the call from Sunoo.
"Ellaaaaaa." The way he pulled the end of your name, it sounded so cute. Like him.
"Hello, Sunoo." You chuckled.
There was some shuffling sounds from the other side of the line and you waited for few seconds until he spoke into the line excitedly.
"Ella, if only you had been with us through the ride to the ice cream parlor. I had the bestest Mint chocolate one. I want to treat you to one. Do you love this flavor?" His tone was exciting and too loud as compared to yours, it was low and soft, you glanced at your aunt who was doing something important on her laptop on the bed and you were standing in the balcony, enjoying the fresh air.
"Tell me the location. I'll try it out with my aunt if possible. I never had this flavor before though."
"Why your aunt? We can go together. I'll bring my friends along with me too if you don't mind. But they don't even like Mint chocolate."
You grabbed the edge of the cemented railings and leaned forward.
"I can't go anywhere with you. Meeting at the mall was an accident, but I should say I loved the time with you and...Jake." You smiled slightly in the end.
He hummed, but asked you quickly, "what are you doing now? Also, what did you and your aunt do for the rest of the day?"
You licked your lips, turning around and leaning your back against the railing, "I went to a jewelry store and I got a gift there."
"A pretty girl like you deserves one."
"Aren't you sounding like Jake now?" You chuckled.
He laughed lightly and the laugh was so soft and sweet that the smile on your face brightened up, "I'm not a flirt like him."
"Sure you're not. You are a cutest one."
He chuckled, "and you are my sweety."
Both of you laughed with your cringey talks.
Sunoo suddenly spoke up, "your accent is almost like Jake's but not exactly the same."
"If he is from Australia then it's because of that." You said.
He gasped into the call, "so, you are Australian?"
You shook your head even when he couldn't see you, "no I'm half Australian because of my dad and I'm half Indian because of my mom. That's why my accent is not fully Australian."
"Oh....thats so cool honestly. So, have you ever been to India before?" Sunoo asked, quite curious and interested in the topic.
You hummed, "I was too young when I went there with my parents and I remember few things from my culture there so I don't know much more about that. Milan is my first trip as an adult and where I can remember everything about my trip."
"I want to hear more about your life but I guess tonight we need to sleep. It's been really a long day for you. Let's talk tomorrow if possible." He said, there was an expectation in his voice.
You nodded, "of course. Good night."
"Good night, Ella."
.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.
"I have to meet someone here at a cafe. It's a confidential meeting purpose so if you want, you can stay at the hotel or can go somewhere." Your aunt suggested, putting on her wrist watch and looking at the mirror with the final look of her attire.
