Last night, you let the seven of them to drop you at the hotel and the way Sunoo wasn't even wanting to leave the place made you feel so bad.
"are you really comfortable with them?" Your aunt asked, sitting on the edge of the bed and watching you packing your bags, "have they ever treated you badly or tried to do something bad, like against your will?"
you stopped mid way putting the white jacket in the trolley bag. Clutching the piece of clothe tightly in your grasp, you breathed sharply, the incidents from past days rewinding inside your mind once again, once again the questions hitting your senses. why are you doing this, Ella? Why are you letting them? They are nice. They are always looking after you and care for you. If it's something they all are doing then you are letting them to do it.
"No...they're my bestfriends. I trust them a lot and I'm sure I'll be safe with them for the whole week." You didn't look at her, now slowly putting the clothes and your necessary stuff inside the bag. Finally zipping it, you turned around, joining her on the bed. Sitting beside her, you side hugged her, a relief washing down your whole body.
"I didn't know about them anything before our trip but after watching them for last few days, I am literally impressed with them." She rubbed your arms in a comforting manner and hummed, "remember it always, Ella. Trust people but never blindly. Don't get swayed by them."
"I won't." You said quietly.
"Now tell me. Which one is close to you? You know already what I'm referring to." She chuckled in the end.
You raised your head up from her shoulder and blinked at her, nibbling your lower lip with your teeth. A hesitation visible on your face, gulping the various emotions, you closed your eyes. Closing the eyes means you are denying the reality, right? Then why are you feeling like you can sense the truth even more.
"All of them are equally...close friends to me...they all are my best friends."
But I need more...I need them...
But are they going to bring trouble into your life?
Or are they your safe haven?
Remember, some sources of comfort can also lead to a devastating end like — fatal.
A fatal trouble.
The hotel room was bathed in the golden light of the morning sun, the kind that made everything feel a little warmer, a little softer. You sat beside your aunt on the bed, leaning against her with your head on her shoulder. Her presence was comforting, her faint scent of vanilla and lavender as familiar as home.
The question still lingering in the air.
She had been scrolling on her laptop, but suddenly, she glanced at you, a sly smile creeping onto her face. "So," she began, her tone light but unmistakably teasing, "what's got you smiling at your phone like that earlier? One of those cute new boys you've been hanging out with, huh?"
Your body tensed, and you shot up from your comfortable position to sit upright, glaring at her. "What? No!" you said, far too quickly. "I wasn't smiling at anything. I was just... scrolling."
Your aunt's grin widened as she set her tablet down, turning to face you fully. "Uh-huh. Sure, sure. But you've been talking about them a lot lately. What were their names again? I confuse the seven names again and again."
You groaned, already regretting telling her anything about your that day trip in details earlier, of course omitting the extra details. "It's not like anything you're thinking. We just click together well and that's how we are close. And for the last time, I like all of them equally. They're just friends."
