Four days.
It had taken you four days to finally get Ni-ki alone.
For four days, he had been avoiding you, slipping away the moment you entered a room, refusing to meet your eyes, and disappearing whenever you tried to confront him.
But not this time.
You had finally managed to corner him in his own room, shutting the door behind you with a firm click before pressing your back against it.
Ni-ki, who had just been about to step past you, halted in his tracks.
His gaze flickered towards the locked door, then back to you. His face was unreadable, but there was a flicker of something in his dark eyes—something guarded.
You inhaled deeply, keeping your voice steady.
"Why did you react like that the other day?"
Silence.
Ni-ki remained still, his expression blank as if he hadn't heard you. Instead of answering, he turned away, walking towards his desk and idly picking up a random object, inspecting it like it was the most interesting thing in the world.
Your patience thinned.
"Ni-ki," you warned, stepping closer. "I'm asking you a question."
Still, nothing.
He didn't even spare you a glance.
It was frustrating. You had expected some kind of pushback, but this outright avoidance was making your blood simmer.
You exhaled sharply.
Fine.
If he wanted to ignore you, you would remind him exactly who he was dealing with.
Straightening your posture, you strode forward, stepping in front of him. With a tilt of your chin, you looked him dead in the eyes, voice firm.
"You will answer me, Ni-ki," you said, your authority slipping through. "I'm older than you. Don't think you can just—"
You didn't get to finish.
Because in the next second, Ni-ki's entire demeanor shifted.
Before you could react, he moved.
Fast.
His hands shot out, gripping your waist and yanking you forward. A small gasp escaped your lips as you stumbled, only for him to swiftly turn and push you back—straight onto the bed.
Your body hit the mattress, the soft sheets barely cushioning the impact before Ni-ki followed, his weight pressing against you as he hovered over you.
His hands planted firmly on either side of your head, caging you in. His long legs easily trapped yours beneath him, rendering you completely still.
You blinked up at him, caught between shock and something else—something dangerously thrilling.
Ni-ki chuckled, low and amused.
"Don't ever try to show your power over me," he murmured, his voice deep and laced with amusement. His head tilted slightly, his dark eyes gleaming with something almost predatory. "It won't end well for you."
His fingers twitched slightly against the sheets as he leaned in just a fraction closer.
"I'm always the one in control," he continued, voice dropping lower. "Not you."
A shiver ran down your spine.
But you weren't about to let him have the last word.
Slowly, your lips curled into a smirk of your own.
