You sat on the edge of the bed, your chin resting on your palm as you giggled softly, watching Jay from across the room. He stood in front of the mirror, shirtless, his toned back flexing slightly as he admired himself. But what caught your attention—what always caught your attention—was the delicate chain of your necklace hanging around his neck.
He had taken it from you long ago, when you accidentally lost it in Jake's room at the resort in Milan then when you saw it around his neck at the Milan Fashion Week, he only kissed you and murmuring, "Mine now." Since then, he'd refused to give it back, wearing it like a trophy, like a mark that you belonged to him.
Jay finally noticed your stare through the mirror, one brow quirking up. "What?"
"You're obsessed," you teased, tilting your head, a playful smirk dancing on your lips. "You love my necklace more than me at this point."
Jay scoffed, turning around to face you, the warm glow of the bedside lamp casting shadows over the sharp angles of his jaw. The sight alone made heat pool low in your stomach.
"I don't love the necklace, angel." His voice was deeper now, rougher, as he stalked towards you with slow, measured steps. "I love what it represents—you."
Your breath caught as he stopped in front of you, standing between your parted legs. He reached down, his fingers tilting your chin up, forcing your eyes to meet his.
"Wanna know why I wear it all the time?" he murmured, his voice dropping into something husky, almost possessive.
You swallowed, your lips parting slightly, but no words came out.
Jay smirked at your silence, his thumb brushing over your lower lip, pressing down just enough to make you shiver. "Because it smells like you. It feels like you. Because when you're not with me, it's the only thing keeping me sane."
His words sent a thrill down your spine, and before you could react, he leaned in, his lips ghosting over yours in a featherlight tease.
"But if you want it back, baby..." His smirk deepened, dark eyes gleaming as he lifted the necklace slightly, letting the cool metal drag across his bare chest before letting it drop back into place. "You'll have to take it off yourself."
Your heart pounded as you reached for the necklace, your fingers barely brushing against the chain before Jay caught your wrist, his grip firm but gentle.
"Not so fast," he murmured, his free hand sliding down to your waist, gripping you just enough to make you aware of the tension crackling between you. "You think I'd just let you take it without a price?"
A slow smirk curled on your lips, your hands sliding up his chest, feeling the warmth of his skin beneath your fingertips. "And what's the price, Park Jay?"
He chuckled, the sound deep and teasing, before suddenly pushing you back onto the mattress. His body hovered over yours, the weight of him pressing you into the sheets as he dipped his head down to your ear.
"You," he whispered, his lips grazing the sensitive spot beneath your jaw before pressing a hot, open-mouthed kiss there. "Every inch of you."
Your breath hitched as his hands began to explore, tracing down your sides, fingers teasing the hem of your thin shirt. The necklace dangled between you both, the cool metal brushing against your heated skin as Jay pressed his body closer, his lips trailing down your neck.
"Still want it back?" he asked against your skin, his voice thick with amusement and desire.
Your hands tangled in his hair, pulling him closer. "I think I'll let you keep it... for now."
