The night before Christmas Day

The living room of the mansion was alive with festive energy. The massive Christmas tree stood proudly in the corner, nearly touching the vaulted ceiling, its branches already adorned with glimmering lights and a few scattered ornaments. The air smelled of fresh pine mixed with the sweet aroma of hot cocoa, and soft holiday music played in the background.

You stood on a step stool, carefully placing a sparkling golden star ornament on one of the upper branches. Sunoo handed you another ornament from below, his eyes narrowing critically as he adjusted the ribbons draped across the tree.

"Higher, no lower—wait, actually, back to where it was," he instructed, his hands gesturing wildly.

"Sunoo, make up your mind!" you laughed, wobbling slightly on the stool as you followed his directions.

Jungwon held the stool tightly, "Ella, be careful."

"Okay, okay, it's perfect there," Sunoo finally said, stepping back to admire the placement.

In the garden visible through the large glass doors, Ni-ki and Sunghoon were busy fiddling with the lights for the outdoor Christmas tree. They both glanced up when you waved at them, and Ni-ki gave you an exaggerated salute while Sunghoon smirked and nodded.

"Don't forget to double-check the connections!" Jay called from the couch, where he was untangling yet another string of lights.

"Don't boss us around!" Ni-ki shouted back, but his tone was playful.

Inside, the others were scattered around, adding their own touches to the decorations. Jake was arranging some presents under the tree, while Jungwon meticulously adjusted the placement of the stockings hanging from the fireplace mantle.

As you stepped off the stool, Heeseung appeared beside you, his tall frame towering over yours. He held out a glittering red bauble. "Think you can find the perfect spot for this one?"

You took the ornament from his hand, your fingers brushing lightly. His gaze lingered on you for a moment, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
