As your eyes fluttered open, the first thing you saw was Jay gazing down at you with a gentle smile, his fingers softly running through your hair. His touch was warm, comforting, and filled with a kind of tenderness that made your heart swell.
"Good morning, angel," he whispered, his voice still laced with sleep.
You gave him a small, drowsy smile, your mind still processing the events of the night before—the heartfelt proposal from all seven boys. He leaned to peck your lips. Your heart raced just thinking about it, your gaze drifted to Heeseung, who was standing near the window, his phone pressed to his ear.
His brows were furrowed, his expression tense as he listened intently to whoever was on the other end of the call. Something wasn't right. But the moment his eyes met yours, he forced a small smile, as if trying to reassure you. It wasn't completely convincing, though.
Before you could ask him what was wrong, the door swung open, and Jake entered with a tray of breakfast. The delicious scent of pancakes and fresh fruit filled the air, making your stomach grumble.
"Look my girlfriend is finally awake," Jake teased with a bright grin, setting the tray down on the bedside table before sitting beside you. "You must be starving. Here, let me feed you."
You chuckled. "Jake, I can eat by myself."
He shook his head playfully. "Nope. We have to take care of you, remember? You're our girl now." The way he said "our girl" made warmth spread through your chest.
Jay shifted to sit closer, placing a hand on your knee as Jake picked up a forkful of pancake and held it to your lips. With an amused sigh, you took the bite, savoring the sweetness.
Sunoo poked his head through the door. "Oh? You're already spoiling her without me, hyung? Not fair!" He pouted before walking in, followed by Jungwon and Sunghoon. "We should all take turns."
"Exactly," Sunghoon agreed, crossing his arms. "I had planned to bring her breakfast, but I guess Jake beat me to it."
Jake smirked. "Too slow, mate."
You giggled at their playful bickering, feeling overwhelmed—in the best way possible—by their love and attention.
But as you glanced at Heeseung again, your heart clenched. He was still standing there, phone lowered now, but his mind seemed elsewhere.
"Heeseung?" you called softly.
His eyes snapped back to you, and he hesitated before walking over. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he reached for your hand and squeezed it gently.
"Is everything okay?" you asked in concern.
For a moment, he looked conflicted. Then, with a small sigh, he leaned in and pressed a kiss to your forehead. "Everything's fine, Ella. Just some business stuff."
You knew he wasn't telling you everything, but for now, you let it go. You trusted him.
As the boys continued to fuss over you, feeding you bites of breakfast and showering you with affection, you couldn't help but smile. This was your new reality—being loved and cherished by seven incredible men.
And you wouldn't trade it for anything.
As you laughed at something Sunoo said, playfully nudging Jay's arm, the warm and lighthearted atmosphere in the room was suddenly interrupted when Jungwon entered. His expression was hesitant, his usual confident demeanor replaced with unease.
All eyes turned to him immediately. You noticed how his fingers fidgeted at his sides—something he did only when he was nervous.
"What's wrong, Jungwon?" Jay asked, sitting up straighter beside you.
