💙Chapter 37💙

(a few hundred words in, and I saw a freaking mouse running across my room kms)

(Y/n POV)

I said my goodbyes to Fuyu as we piled into Endeavour's long car. I took the back seat with Katsuki, who said, "I would rather blow myself up than be squished between those two." 

Endeavour and the others talk about their hero work studies, and schoolwork, while I quietly look out the window at the lights, tuning them out.

The highway lights look nice, but I noticed something strange. Did the markings on the road just move?

 That's when Endeavour's aggressive driver let out a shout and hurriedly veers right, catching me off guard. I see someone fly by my window.

Wait... Natsu?

"That was Natsu!" I hear Sho shout out.

"Look, the lines on the road!" 

Katsuki has his head out of the window, and I immediately lean over to look. That's where I see my older brother wrapped up in the paint from the centerline!

"Oh my days..." I whisper in shock. "He should've been on a train by now." 

That's when we see the perpetrator, a man with the road lines swirling around him, a crazed look in his eye as he stood in the middle of the road, we were bound to crash into him at this rate.

The driver turns sharply, causing us to hit the road barrier and send us spinning. I hear a crash as Endeavour leaves the passenger seat, his costume already on with his flames blazing.  He approaches the villain, who has a dangerously sharp arrow pointed at Natsu's head.

"Natsu!" I want to jump out of this car, I want to let loose, but Katsuki stops me.

"Don't even think about it boilingcold, you're injured enough as is you dumbass, let us take care of it!" He says as he blasts his door open, chasing after Endeavour.

"I'll get Natsu back, I promise. Just stay safe over here." Sho says as he jumps out of the car, using his ice to travel along the road, Midoriya not far behind.

"You're forgetting something!" The driver calls out, pressing a button as I see their hero suits fly into the air, Midoriya catching them and hurtling the suitcases at Sho and Katsuki.

The villain tries to stop them, but damn they're good. He jumps back to retreat. I watch Endeavour as he tries to pursue, but he uses Natsu as a human shield.

"I won't let you ruin my perfect ending!" I hear the villain shout crazily. 

He wants Endeavour to kill him? How interesting...

I want to help, I want to help so bad, but the driver is watching me like a hawk.

"Don't even think about it, Miss (Y/n), you're injured, in no condition to fight!" He shouts out. I huff.

"I can still defend myself..." I grumble.

I watch as Endeavour freezes, his moves drawn to a halt as Natsu is used to shield the villain. The three boys go to catch up, but that's when the paint moves again.

"I suppose one child's life isn't enough! If you don't kill me, don't blame me for what happens next! Your daughter, she's in the car, isn't she!?" 

I freeze, a strip of paint that had been left under the car shoots straight through the floor of the vehicle, wrapping around me.

"Miss (Y/n)!" The driver shouts as I try to use my quirk to free myself, but it just won't let up.

I use some flame to get it off, getting myself out of the car, but an intense pain shoots through my leg at the sudden harsh movement.
