Y/n never made it to the final battle against All for One.

Almost everyone in Class 1-A fought diligently, but Y/n wasn't there. Maybe this was karma, not being able to take the final stand alongside everyone she cared about.

She was taken to Recovery Girl as soon as possible. The situation looked dire.

Her entire body had been affected, not to mention her exhaustion.

"I won't be able to do much. She needs a hospital, now!" She had said, a look of anxiety all over her face.

Hospital beds were scarce, but they found room. At first, she was kept in the same room as her twin. Doctors thought it might help both of them, but it was clear something was deeply wrong.

After barely an hour in the hospital, Y/n had to be moved. She was deemed a threat and at too high risk.

Her body was littered with a variety of burns, mostly second-degree. 

"If Dabi hadn't been stopped any sooner, if she had to put up with that intense heat for too much longer, we wouldn't be able to save her." The doctors had deduced.

If Y/n had to suffer any longer, her body would've been incinerated. The only reason the doctors could keep her alive was that they were mainly second-degree burns. She must've been in incredible pain the entire time, there's no doubt about that, which is why she had been given the highest doses of painkillers they could offer.

Her hair was singed, and doctors had to cut it short. Her torso, arms, and face were mostly affected.

Her back had a massive burn across it, mimicking how tightly Touya held Y/n in the final battle.

Her face was badly burned, but she could still see. The doctors said that was lucky.

Every breath was raspy, her throat had been burned up, too. They wouldn't know if she could talk until she woke up.

Once Shoto was allowed to leave his room, he visited her every day.

He would talk with her, ask her how she's doing, all from beyond a glass window.

"Do I have to be this far away?" He would ask every time.

"Yes, you already know the danger. We don't know what her mental state is right now, so we have to take every precaution. If she wakes up and sees you, we don't know how she'll react." The doctor was tired of the same conversation, but he knew that this boy just wanted to see his sister.

He wasn't the only one who visited as much as possible.

"Are the guards really necessary?" Enji asked the doctor.

"Absolutely, like I've mentioned to your son, we don't know her mental state. She's still a threat, especially to you. She could try to kill you, and no one is in a state to fight right now." The doctor sighed.

Every visit from Enji started with the words "I'm sorry." They were always short visits, as Endeavour was also gravely wounded.

"Having no arm... you've been feeling like this for months. When you wake up, you can laugh at me all you want."

The third day in the hospital, Y/n woke up for the first time.

"Doctor! She's awake!" A nurse had shouted into his office.

They both rushed into the room, looking at the girl wrapped up in bandages.

Her eyes were finally open, frantically looking around the room.
