Chapter 46 - Confessions

"No." I replied quietly as Jasper's face fell. "I can't marry you."

"Why, Scarlett?" He asked, his tone genuinely confused.

"I don't have to justify my reasons for not wanting to be tied down to a notorious serial womanizer - no offence," I replied as a look of anger flashed in his eyes.

"Scarlett, that is a bullshit reason and you know it," he snapped, still bent on one knee. "You know that I would cross a million fùcking oceans just to keep you safe and happy, yet you stand here and practically tell me you think I've reverted back to my old ways and I don't think -"

"Jasper?"

"Damn it, woman, I'm talking!" He replied irritably.

"Jasper?" I repeated as I raised my eyebrows at him.

"What?" He grumbled stroppily as I bit my lip, bending down a little and placing my hand on his shoulder to keep myself balanced before lowering my face to his.

"I would love to have the honor of being your wife, you absolute idiot," I grinned as he stared at me, dumbfounded.

"Scarlett!" He hissed as I stood up trying not to laugh.

"Yes, best future husband, who is totally going to forgive me for this?" I teased before holding my left hand out expectantly, as the expression on his face softened ever so slightly.

"I should slice that damned ring finger of yours, right off," he muttered, shaking his head.

"Stop being so dramatic and adorn my beautiful finger with the ring, slave," I ordered him as he raised an eyebrow at me before laughing.

"Am I even sure I want to be married to Christian Grey's female counterpart?" He smirked.

"Bìtch," I scoffed as I kept my hand held out. "Hurry up and marry me already."

"Oh, Lord, what the hell have I gotten myself into?" He murmured, before grinning broadly as he gently took my hand and slid the most beautiful diamond ring onto my finger as I gasped in awe.

It was an emerald cut diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds encrusted along the band.

It was absolutely beautiful.

"I take it you're a big fan of the ring then?" Jasper teased as he pulled me down onto his lap.

"I love it," I smiled as he dipped my body slightly before kissing my lips slowly, sensually as I moaned into his mouth.

"Fùck, I love you so much, Scarlett," he said softly as I smiled at him.

"I love you even more, Jasper," I murmured as he gave me a pointed look.

"Not possible."

"I think it is," I retorted in a sing song voice as his grip tightened around my hips.

"Oh, and Miss Valentina?" He growled lowly in my ear as I shivered.

"Yes, Mr Queen?"

"That little stunt of yours has seriously landed you in a lot of trouble," he spoke against my lips.

"Oh, bite me," I scoffed as he chuckled darkly.

"That," he began, taking my hand as we stood up. "Is exactly what I intend to do."
