These are some random quirk ideas that you can use in your writing or to spark your own version!
I may include the occasional one shot ideas too.
Also if anyone uses the quirks or oneshot ideas to write something, then PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ULTRA...
Shadow Eater allows the user to interact directly with shadows—consuming, damaging, manifesting, or weaponizing them to inflict energy drain, neuropathic pain, and combat domination.
This vampiric-like, fear-based quirk is infamously invasive, allowing the user to absorb strength, manipulate their surroundings, and summon living shadows to assist in battle. While often mistaken for a villain’s power, it is a rare and dangerous support or offensive quirk depending on the user's creativity, control, and moral compass.
Visual Activation Cues: “Manifested Dread”
1) Ocular Corruption – Bleeding Eyes
Upon activation, the user’s eyes undergo a coloboma-like transformation, resembling pupils that have been torn open vertically.
Fun fact! A Coloboma is actually a real life condition. It's a pretty interesting congenital eye condition.

From these pupils, a slow, continuous “bleeding” of darkness emerges — forming two perfectly vertical, inky-black trails that stream down from their eyes to their chin, almost like ritual markings or weeping shadows.
This “darkness bleed” appears to drip and move subtly, giving the illusion that the eyes are alive, leaking shadow, and radiating an unnatural hunger.
In close combat, these markings can mesmerize, intimidate, or unnerve — especially under low-light or flickering conditions.
2) Shadow Veins – “Overcharge Pulse”
When the user has absorbed an excessive amount of shadow energy, their body begins to show vein-like tendrils of darkness beneath the skin — most visibly along the neck, arms, and temples.
These “shadow veins” pulse and shift unnaturally, looking almost alive, as though the shadows themselves are moving through the bloodstream.
While this state does not signal illness or overload, it visually suggests instability and creates the illusion that the user is barely containing a monstrous force within.
The effect typically fades once the user has expended enough absorbed energy, but during its active phase, it gives them a disturbing, villain-like appearance that enhances their threatening aura.
Combined Effect – “Living Shadow Incarnate”
When both cues are visible — especially during Eclipse Form or after consuming multiple shadows — the user becomes a walking nightmare:
