Hera stood to join in on the applause, but found herself nearly doubled over from an intense surge of back pain.
She held her breath, ignoring the terrible ache and clapped her hands together.
"Can one of you help me to the bathroom?" she asked George and Ange quietly.
"Yeah, I'll come— " Ange began, but faltered as she realised the bathrooms were on an entirely different floor, requiring her to walk across the length of the Atrium and up two flights of stairs in her stilettos.
"I'll help, " George shrugged, saying to Ange, "the floor's slippery. "
She nodded appreciatively, profusely apologising to Hera.
"It's fine, " Hera said resolutely, taking hold of George's arm, "let's go... "
They passed the rows of the audience, now filtering out of the seats and into the main room of the Atrium towards the bar.
"George, " Hera began slowly, "don't panic. I think the baby's coming. "
"Sick!" He roared. "What do I do, then?"
"Erm — nothing... " Hera replied, confused. "I just need you to take me to the bathroom and have a look at my back. "
"I can't go in the ladies' room, though, " George's face appeared puzzled.
