Once I got home, which was 7 after we got the car tolled and fixed and then finally dropped off. Plus I had to make sure Demi was back in town. She was back since the noon, so I had to make a lie I hung out with her all day until now because I was still angry at them so I hadn't wanted to come home.
I don't think I could get enough. Once home and probably said one hello to my parents, I went straight to my room to text Nick. At one point he said his mother was coming so he had to switch off his phone.
I suggested him to delete our conversations to have no trace of evidence. And definitely so Nick can solve it the way he planned before Olivia or his mother finds out. That will ruin everything.
Perhaps even my life. And I will probably never step foot into this town or ever see my parents. Considering they are more self-centered than caring about their daughters' feelings.
Early afternoon my mom dragged me to go downtown to find a dress. She met up with Demi's mom and Demi who were at the same dress shop. It was like the most expensive dress shop in town. Everything there was delicate and extravagant.
If you were wearing Abercrombie people would look at you like, This isn't California. It's some old lady that used to be a fashion designer in Los Angeles and retired here to sell dresses. But I remember shopping for my prom dress here and since my mom has been a VIP here, this lady gave me special treatments when Demi and I come here just to try on dresses for fun.
Although she'd remind us to be careful because every dress here could be sold to some rich ass fortune maker.
We walked in and immediately found Demi and her mom laughing while eyeing a dress Demi was holding. I beamed running over to Demi and her mom. Our moms stiked up a conversation about the typical town news or gossip while Demi and I went far from them to look at other dresses.
Also to fill each other in. Demi had a lot to say, given she has not yet discovered about Nick and I yet. I don't even know if I should tell her. I know its like rule of thumb to tell your besties everything but this was really serious. If it slips out of her lip by accident the consequences are too serious.
She ranted on and on about her and Joe's stay during their road trip.
"We literally had the best road trip, I wish you could see the beauty of the cottages and the suite we stayed," she gushes, "I mean people thought we were on our honey moon for Christ sakes!"
I laughed as I picked out another dress.
"Oooh! Then he told me he was taking me this dessert place for dinner, I was totally pumped about and when he drove to the beach I was like... uhm what? Then ahhh!" she beams jumping, literally, "I saw the lantern lights hanging and a candle like dinner set up. Like, I thought he was going to propose!"
"But thank God he didn't?" I predicted.
"Noooo! I think I'd say yes in a heart beat if he asked me this moment," Demi shocked me, I couldn't believe she was going way heads over heals for Joe. But if she's in love... a woman's gotta do what she's gotta do.
"You sure you don't need the extra few months or years to get to know this new Joe?" I turned her with narrow eyes.
"Hmm, maybe?" she giggles, but knowing Demi for all my life, she definitely would be the type to jump into his arms and say yes to the proposal. "So what was your weekend like?" she wiggled with a mischevious grin.
Live or die, Nick please forgive me.
I glanced around our surrounding before speaking, "We did it."
"Did what?" she was not paying full attention until I raised my brows and her eyes widened, "WHAT?"
"SHH!" I covered my hand over her lips, "I'll tell you when we get to your house."
