Now this time, I really I have no clue where we are. Nick drove around town to the old Middleson Garden, or it was Middleson Garden. I remember before I left for college, this place was torn down to build a Target or K-mart. But it seems plans have changed.

It looked like a human size maze. 360 degrees around were trees, and green grass land. We parked on the grass matter-of-fact with the other cars.

"We're here," he announces, opening my door.

"What is this place?" I asked him, walking out. It was quite unique to be honest, there was a hostess at the front chatting with one of the waiters, just in front of a giant wall of green.

And above them the restaurant, I suppose I could say, the name was assembled by bits of branches, Secret Garden.

Terrific.

"It's a cool place, just come," He says, in a soft voice. I followed like he asked, and we were brought in by the hostess. It was seriously a maze, each table had their own private "room" that was built by the walls of bushes in the maze.

I wonder how they even get around here.

The hostess led us to a "room" (no doors, FYI), and sat us down at a small round table. She put down the menus and a gentleman pulled out the chair for me.

"When you are ready to order, just ring the bell," she smiles, and exits the cuticle we're in. And she literally meant, "ring the bell", there was a bell hanging on a wooden pole for us.

Talk about creepy dine-in-the-dark restaurants.

"So candle light dinner was your best idea of a dinner Jonas?" I said, with my tiny fists clutching the menu.

"Hey, candle light dinner is awesome especially in the nature!" he argues with a cute smile that appears along with the dimples.

"I think Mc Donalds would even be better than candle light dinner with you," I can't help but say, because we're not a couple and didn't need to eat at some "secret garden" as if secrets has not caused enough trouble in our history.

"Woah woah... calm down and just enjoy the dinner please," he suggests, and looks at his menu, "What looks good today... Oh! How about we get the set dinner for tonight, its the special, I heard the lobster salad is really good."

He was so excited, and I couldn't tell if it was sarcastic or genuine.

We put in our orders and got the lobster salad he wanted. And now it was weird, we sat face to face and there was like nothing we could possibly talk about. I mean, he dumped me, left for college and we never spoke.

And then suddenly, first time seeing each other, he was micmacking lips with his girlfriend that is Miss Universe.

"So, how was Harvard? Did you date or meet someone?" he asks, taking a bit outta that lobster.\

I stopped eating for a second trying to keep myself calm, "It was interesting, I mean the city is really different from the small town. You meet a lot of people and a lot of parties... how about you? How'd you meet Olivia?"

"Oh, well first year I took a lot of courses for music until my parents found out and I had to change back into commerce," he shrugs, then ponders on his respond about his relationship.

"Well? Olivia? How'd you guys meet?" I asked, and this was genuine, I was interested. I mean, she's Miss Universe don't they just date celebrities?

"You know its awkward enough to have dinner with your ex, but to talk about your current relationship?" he gives a quirky smile, a little smirk like too.

That for some reason got me a little fussy, "Why is it awkward? And if its so awkward, why did you ask me to dinner?"

"Because, I want to apologize and I want to friends," he pleaded, with those adoring puppy dog eyes.

"Why? We can't even sit down and have a proper dinner Nick! Things can't go back to the way they used to be, matter of fact, God forbid things go back to the way it used to be because our relationship was just fight fight fight like right now," I swear, the whole bush could hear me now.

"Okay, well," he took a breath and shut his eyes for a minute, "Madison Square, 9:35, May 12th."

"What?" I asked confused, sitting back down.

"Madison Square, that's where I met Olivia. On May 12th, I was going back to my apartment when I saw her, attacked by paparazzi, I took her to a quiet place to hide. That's when I met Olivia," he answers me.

And all that could come between my lips were, "Oh."

"Not that romantic, but that's how we met," he swings on his chair, rocking it back and forth, then finally setting it still, "Look Selena, I'm sorry we broke up in a messy way and I'm sorry for how I treated you--us, our relationship. I get that it's unfair and that I was an asshole. But can't you give me a chance, friends. If it doesn't work out, I'll never speak to you again. I promise."

"Promises wasn't something so reliable for us..." I stared at my plate.

A soft laugh parted from him, "We'll just have to try."

"Why? Why are you working so hard... so hard to make this work?" I couldn't help but ask, it sure was one of the questions that's been aching to come out all night.

He looked hesitant for a minute, before meeting eye to eye with me, "I want things to be like it was before, maybe not the relationship part but I know our friendship was great. You were like my best friend, and I don't want to lose that."

"I think you've lost the privilege to apologize two years ago Nick," I got up, heading out, "Thanks but no thanks for this dinner."

"Wait Selena... Sel-" I hear him call from the cuticle as I distant myself from the maze,
