Chapter 23: Is He Single?

A/N: Sorry this is a late update, I had major writers block! Enjoy the chapter ♥

*Jc’s POV*

I ran my finger up and down her calve as she rested her head on my shoulder. She was telling me about her time in Anaheim as I listened. I couldn’t help but notice she had yet to mention the guy that went in her room. I knew we were together again and I wanted to be with her more than anything but I couldn’t help but think of him.

“…and that was basically it. It’s really nice there, we should go sometime.” She smiled.

“Well I’m glad you had fun, but I’m even gladder you are back here.” I said as I kissed her neck. She smiled again and nuzzled her head back into my shoulder.

“So, you know when I left the room that one day…” I had to get it out. She raised a brow and made a ‘hm’ noise.

“Well, I saw some guy go back into your room… who was that?” I gulped.

“Oh! JC, that’s who I was talking about, Tyler. The guy who had the room party and everything! He actually was the one who brought me back to LA today.” She hummed.

“Well remind me to thank him.” I chuckled.

“You’ll have to meet him! He is amazing.” She said.

As soon as she ended her sentence Ricardo burst through the door with a strange look on his face. He kicked off his shoes and headed straight into the kitchen without noticing us. He grabbed a beer from the fridge and turned around and saw us.

“Well hey, didn’t take you two long.” He said with a tone.

“You okay dude?” I said while moving Serena’s legs off of me.

“It’s fucking Kat. I never know what she’s thinking.” He let out.

“Oh my god, Kat!” Serena said as she leaped off of the couch. Ricardo and I both gave her a look of confusion.

“I don’t even know what is going on in her life! Were supposed to be best friends and I just left her.” She said while hopping on one leg trying to get her shoes on.  “I’ll text you!” She yelled at me while closing the door on her way out.

Ricardo and I just brushed off whatever just happened as he sat down beside me.

“Were practically together right?” He looked at me.

“Right.” I nodded.

“Then why is she flirting with other guys on the beach.”

*Serena’s POV*

As I took a few steps I realised I didn’t have my car, and I had ran there. I shrugged it off and remembered Kat’s place was near. 10 minutes later I was vigorously knocking on her door and peeping my face through the window. A few seconds later Kat opened the door and immediately screamed.

We sat in her bedroom and I told her every last detail of my past few days.

“Wow this Tyler guy seems great? Is he single?” She laughed and gave me a wink.

“Yes, he is. But wait, what happened to you and Cardo? He seemed upset earlier.”

She rolled her eyes, “He is super sweet and super good looking but, I just don’t think were each other’s types you know. He is very reserved and well, I’m not. Like, I’ll want to go to the bar and he will want to sit around and listen to music. Were just different.” She went on.

“Well, opposites attract.” I said.

“Yeah, and we attracted at first, now not so much.” She sighed.

“Well that sucks because we could’ve double dated you know.” I giggled.

“Well now I’d rather third wheel than double.” She laughed with me.

“You should really cut him loose you know, tell him what you have been thinking.” I said.

“Yeah, I will.”

*Kian’s POV*

It was almost midnight and I was bored out of my mind. Sam had been spending all of his time with Marissa, things were still weird with JC, Ricardo has been MIA, Ricky and Con were always off together and I was really tired of the annoying local girls. I decided to drive over to Kat’s place because she always had something fun to do.

“Keeks!” She yelled as she opened the door.

“Hey there kitty cat!” I smiled and walked into her house.

“You JUST missed Serena! She left maybe 20 minutes ago.” She smiled.

“Oh darn, well another time.” I said secretly relieved.

We walked up the stairs into her room. Her room had clothes everywhere as per usual, and 90210 was playing on her TV. We both sat down on her bed and she made herself comfortable, picking up her half eaten bowl of ice cream.

“Whats up?” She said as she slightly tilted her head to the side.

“Nothing really, was just kind of bored and we haven’t hung out in a while so I decided to come on over.” I smiled.

“Well I wish I was doing something more exciting! I just decided to take it easy tonight you know.” She pulled a spoonful of ice cream into her mouth.

“Well we can take it easy together!” I said as I grabbed her spoon and took a bite myself.

We sat together watching 90210 and I now had my own bowl of ice cream. We had talked a bit about local life and how it’s so much different now.

“I wonder what it’s going to be like when Serena goes back to NYC, and the boys go back to their states too.” I said.

“Yeah it’ll be weird. Summers more than half over and I don’t even want to think about it.” She sighed.

“It’ll be back to you, Sammy and I.” I laughed thinking about memories from before summer.

“I’m okay with that.” She giggled and looked at me.

“Yeah, me too.” I smiled looking back to her.

We slowly inched towards each other, smiles still plastered on our faces. I leaned more forwards to give her a hug when her lips lowered onto mine. At first I was taken back, but then I deepened the kiss. I broke away from her mouth and moved a stray hair from her eyes. She looked at me not knowing what to say.
