"Another one failed," a masculine voice said from nearby. She turned to face him, his head fallen on his desk.

"Don't worry, we have these last four. I think they'll be the four to help the future," she said.

"And what if they fail? We take more people in?" he asked her.

"We give up, and let the world die," she said, moving around documents on the screens.

"But if we let the world die... wouldn't we die?" he asked in fear.

"We can't test employees, we don't have enough left. Only these few people. Nobody who knows what the outside world is like. That girl, pay attention to her. She's had the most brain activity despite their only memories being movement, speech, names and a few other details," she explained. "But we will wake them up and call back the remainder of the crew."

"I'll get on that," he said. She observed the cameras, watching carefully as everyone slept.

"We have our hope in you all. Work together, Team Nether," she said. Although she knew their motto wouldn't even touch their lives from there on.
