I woke up in a forest, cold and confused. Where had I come from? Where was I now? I knew nothing but that I was opening some book with a strange inscription on the front. I sit up, a little dizzy. Upon examination, I appear to be wearing some long, dark purple robes with a white and yellow trim. It feels light on my shoulders, and quite comfortable too. Pockets on the right and left, on the inside, in the sleeves, everywhere. I look left, then right and see nothing but trees and a small clearing. I stand up and shake off my dizziness so as not to fall over and begin to hobble over towards the break in the trees. Upon closer inspection, from a safe distance of course, I see a stone on the ground with a sword sticking out of it. A man dressed in a green tunic and hat stood by it and lifted his hand to grasp the hilt of the sword. As his grip tightened a light shone off his brown gloved hands in the shape of a few triangles in the form of a bigger triangle. The sword loosed from the stone and shone as a gem in the sunlight as the man held it skyward. I step on a twig and the man suddenly turns to me, shocked by my stealth. The man was blond with glimmering blue eyes. He softly says "Who are you? And what business do you have here?" and almost shocked at my unfamiliar voice, I reply to the man
"Quite simply put... I've no reason to be here and no knowledge of my whereabouts. Your guess is as good as mine, sir"
"No name? I guess we may have to think of one for the time being."
At that moment a loud whisper fills my mind "Robin. Robin is you. Robin is I." this I repeat to the man.
"Robin, eh? I guess it suits you. I'm Link, pleased to meet you... Robin"
