After the first show of the tour, we all stumbled back to the bus.

"I'm going to bed," I called back to them, feeling my way to my back as my eyes wouldn't stay open. I heard a chorus of "goodnight"s behind me.

I sat up with a jolt and immediately felt a smack to my forehead.

"Fuck," I hissed, cursing the low height of the bunk ceilings. I had no idea how the boys even fitted in these things, I was going to have to get used to it.

I was suddenly shaken again by a loud sound from above me. A crash of thunder ripped through the air and made the bus shudder. I stuck my head out of the curtain covering the bunk and listened to the snores emanating from the bunks next to me. I smiled, but noticed a light coming from Michael's bunk across from mine. I reached across and brushed his curtain. He pulled it back and quickly removed his earphones.

"Hey," I whispered.

"Hi," he said softly.

"You okay?"

"Uh, yeah. I'm fine. Just can't sleep."

"Did you hear the thunder just then?"

"Um." He gulped. "Yeah, it's....loud."

"Are you all right?" He nodded. "Okay. Night." I pulled the curtain back and laid down as another wave of thunder rolled over us. Soon my curtain was shaken. Michael was reaching across.

"Actually, I'm not all right." I felt sorry for him. His eyes looked scared. I shuffled in my bunk so my back was against the wall, offering him the space in my bunk. He quietly climbed in and immediately went to hide in the crook of my neck.

"It's okay," I cooed in his ear, stroking the tufts of hair surrounding it. "It's only thunder. And you have me now."

As we slowly fell asleep, he slid down so his head was rested on my chest. I looked down, seeing him smile and nuzzle his nose on my shirt, dangerously close to my boobs.

"Cheeky bastard," I giggled.

"You love me," he sighed.

Yeah. I do.
