CHAPTER 10

PINKY SWEAR

"Lydia I am not watching The Notebook again!"

Crystal sat in the back of Lydia's small car whilst her and Jackson continued to argue over a stupid movie. Criss had decided to stay the night with Lydia after her fight with Jenna, which resulted in Crystal appearing at her best friends door and demanding food and a movie. Just when it couldn't get any worse, Lydia invited her douchebag of a boyfriend along with them to watch the movie, which Lydia had chosen to be The Notebook. Crystal would be lying if she said she wasn't expecting it to be that.

Just then, Jackson stormed off in to the building to find the most horrible movie ever.

"Was it really necessary to invite him along?" Crystal leaned forward in her seat so she was facing Lydia. The red head rolled her eyes.

"Can't you just get along with him? He's a nice guy Criss, your just too interested in the pale nerdy ones obviously." Lydia took her phone out and began taking selfies.

"To answer your first question, no. And who the hell is the pale nerdy one?" Crystal huffed and folded her arms across her chest.

"Oh you know exactly who he is." Lydia continued to take pictures. Crystal looked at her questionably. How she became best friends with her was the million dollar question.

Suddenly something caught the brunette's attention. The lights in the movie store went out, leaving the store absolutely pitch black. Lydia didn't seem to notice and continued taking selfies.

"I'll be right back." Crystal muttered and stepped out of the car, wrapping her leather jacket tighter around her frame. She stepped in to the movie store.

"Jackson?" She called out, glancing around.

"Jackson quit it, where the hell are you?" She walked deeper in to the store, growing wary of her surroundings.

All of a sudden a force gripped her arm and pulled her down to the ground. She let out a small scream but was cut off when a hand came in to contact with her mouth, covering it.

Jackson.

"Be quiet! There's something in here I think it's a mountain lion." He hissed to the girl. She swatted his hand away and peeked round the corner of the shelf. Something kept whizzing past them, in between all of the shelves and knocking down a few DVD's. All she could make out was black fur, and whatever it was... It was huge.

"That things definitely not a mountain lion!" She whisper yelled. Suddenly there was a loud crash, then another, followed by multiple more.

"Get out of the way!" Jackson shoved Crystal a few feet away so she wouldn't get crushed by the falling shelves. Jackson then tried getting out of the way but failed that attempt as the shelve came crushing down, trapping him.

"Jackson!" Crystal yelled, she ran over and began to try lift the shelf off of his body, but failed.

"Just go!" Jackson demanded, but she disobeyed and tried lifting it again.

"Criss, get the hell out of here!" Jackson screamed at her.

"I'm not leaving you with that thing!" She fought back, she hated Jackson with everything she had but she wasn't willing to leave him here to die. Lydia would be off with her head.
