CHAPTER 11

THE TRUTH

~~~~~~~~~~
The word that just came out of Stiles Stilinski's mouth hung in the air like a horrid stench. The room was in complete silence as Crystal stared at the boy in front of her. Werewolves? Yeah right.
"Are you kidding me?"
The girl was pissed off. Beyond pissed. She couldn't believe that after what had just happened, Stiles thought of the incident as a joke. She narrowed her eyes at the boy and huffed loudly through her nose, realising doing so was probably a bad idea by the horribleness of the sound.
"Criss I swear to god, you have to believe me. I know it sounds beyond crazy but you just have to trust me okay?" The boy pleaded as he stood up in front of the girl. She shook her head and let out a sarcastic laugh.
"Are you seriously wasting my time with this? Tell me the truth now, Stiles!" Criss waved the phone about in the air. Stiles winced at the authority in her voice and recoiled a bit. The pale boy rubbed his face in frustration.
"Criss. Listen to me, okay? Everything I'm about to tell you is the truth okay, you just have to calm down and believe me. Can you do that?" Stiles tried to reason with the girl, and took a few steps towards her. She noticed the seriousness of his voice and inhaled through her nose and exhaled through her mouth. He advanced towards her slowly, but she didn't object.
"Okay."
The boy released a sigh of relief and grabbed her arm gently and sat her on the bed beside him.
"Okay, everything that I'm about to tell you is the honest truth. But I need to ask first... doyou trust me?" Stiles sat crossed legged on the bed, Crystal mimicking his pose. Crystal thought about it, she hardly knew this boy sitting in front of her. Yes she considered the boy a close friend and enjoyed spending time with the spastic boy, but she realized she never knew anything about him really. Crystal had problems grasping the concept of 'trust' considering she never really had any friends growing up. She trusted her dad, she definitely trusts Jenna, she can trust Lydia and possibly even Allison. What's the harm in trusting Stiles? With that, the girl breathed out one word.
"Yes."
And so he told her. Starting from the night he and Scott ventured in to the woods to find half of a dead body, to Scott being bitten, the Alpha, Derek, wolfs bane and the Hunters. Crystal sat still the whole time, just staring at the boy in front of her, listening as he didn't hesitate to tell the details. She wasn't as surprised as she thought she would be, which was actually surprising. He wasn't lying, and she could tell he wasn't lying by the way he just flat out told her, looking in to her eyes the whole time, his voice not wavering in the slightest. That is the part what scared her. How he was actually telling the truth.
"So, the Alpha... Is the one who killed the video store clerk and the bus driver?" The girl started slowly outing the pieces together. She and Stiles still remained in the same position, cross legged, knees touching slightly.
"Yeah, he's also the one who bit Scott and tried to attack you and Jackson at the video store." The boy flat out told her. Crystal muttered an 'oh' under her breath.
"And Allison's family are hunters? Werewolf hunters?" Crystal questioned, still looking at the boy. He nodded.
"Mhm, we're not sure if Allison is though, her aunt Kate Argent shot Derek with a wolfs bane laced bullet, and her dad shot Scott with a cross bow. So yeah, not good." Stiles winced at the thought of the Argents. Crystal realized then and there her theories where correct, and she had even had dinner with a psychotic bitch.
