Gabrielle's P.O.V

I sat up on my bed running a hand through my hair. I look around my room sighing then got out of bed. It was officially 7:30 pm which meant it was already dark outside. It was a Saturday and I was alone...as usual. I walk to my bathroom standing in front of the mirror, getting a good look at myself. I wanted to feel okay again. I wanted to feel like I was a regular teen who went out and had fun with friends. Well, I mean I still do that, just not as much.I walk to my shower, turning it on, waiting for it to heat up. I then got in.

After my hour long shower, I threw on some clothes and walked downstairs.

I didn't really know why I was going out; I was in disparate need of fresh air, I guess

I didn't really know why I was going out; I was in disparate need of fresh air, I guess. I grabbed my car keys out of the bowl near the front door and walked out, making sure to lock it.

I stared the ignition and drove off. These last few weeks really brought me pondering thoughts.I keep thinking of Harry and the breakup. All I could think about were his words that he said to me before he left. "Your heart was strong enough." What did that even mean?

I pulled in a liquor store parking lot. I get out locking my car doors. I walked in, hearing the little bell above the door. I smile at the cashier and walk to the back, where the candy was. I've always liked coming to liquor stores because everything was cheap and you could get mounds of stuff. I remember my mom taking me and Quincy to one before we went to a park or something. I know it sounds weird and a bit off but that's just a reminder of how easy life was for me. I smile at the thought of my mom. She was beautiful, like a super model. She had hazel eyes that seemed to turn green in the sunlight and dark brown hair. To me, she was the modern Marilyn Monroe.

I turn around to the cold drinks, when I bumped into someone. "Oh, sorry. Didn't see you there." I say looking up. I instantly dropped everything I had in my hands and ran out the store. It was Harry. As much as I love him, I just wasn't ready to see him. "Gabrielle!" He yells after me. I put up the hood on my jacket and get in my car. I didn't drive off, I just sat there; One million and one thoughts running through my head. I heard taps on my window. I looked up seeing bright emerald green eyes looking down on me. I sighed rolling down the window.

"Can we talk?" I look to the side, purposely trying to avoid his perfect face. I looked at the bright moon, nodding slowly. He walks to the other side of my car getting in and we both sat in silence.

"Uh, how have you been?" I ask, trying to make conversation. "Good and you?" I nod. "Same. Just heading where life takes me." I reply. "I'm sorry." I whisper, finally breaking from my shell that I created in literally three point five seconds. He shoots his head towards me, looking confused. "I'm sorry if I caused the break up. I'm sorry if Quincy pressured you into breaking up with me and you just couldn't take it anymore." I say finally looking into his eyes. "I should be the one saying sorry. I just, I don't know." He says. I reach over and touch his face, instantly feeling butterflies in my tummy.

"You don't have to know. That was the past and this is now." I say with a small smile. "Gabby, I love you. I really really love you." He says smiling. Then he kisses me. I look down knowing I look like a tomato. "I love you too, Haz. Don't forget it."
