"I'm going to die a slow painful death here, aren't I?" I groaned repeatedly banging my head on the blackboard making my students snicker. Currently I'm busy giving extra classes for math, I want to work at a pace so that everyone can understand but that'd take too long so I made time for extra classes for whoever wants help.
"Sir, it's not that bad" a girl shouted out. "Could've fool me!" I say turning around and glaring at a random student. I took a deep breath and then started to explain the exercise all over again.
"Everyone understand now?" I asked erasing the examples and writing down a few new equations. "Not really Mr Jones, I don't get why x is 4 and not 7" someone says making me smile at the familiar voice and turn around. "Because, you're horrible at math Xander" I chuckle walking through the class to where Xander was sitting.
The students were smiling and snickering, some looked completely lost. Mostly the girls and my history students knew about my gender preferences. I think the only reason they know is because they hounded me about my romantic life and at some point they shipped me and Miss Visser, a lovely lady who I became friends with, and after the twenty seventh person telling me we should go out I shouted "I don't do girls".
"You have some pretty smart students here ya know" he smiles looking around. "We have a pretty smart teacher" Tessa, the girl next to us, said. "Oh I know he's smart, he stayed up for three days studying for some of his tests and barely slept at all when he found out he got a job" Xander teased. I smiled down at him and placed a hand on his shoulder as his hand wrapped around my waist. "You guys can go if you're done writing down those few equations, then I'll mark them whenever your done" I laughed seeing them ogling at us.
"Sir's boyfriend should come to class more often if we get to leave early" a student said leaving. "Heard that Kam!" I shouted after him. "Sorry Mr Jonie-bear!" he teased poking his head in the door. "Kammie-cakes, don't call me Jonie" I rolled my eyes "I'll get in trouble."
"Oh well, have a good day further" he smiled. "Oh you will have a good day further" Xander winked patting my ass. "Xander..." I mumble blushing and staring at the wide eyed kids staring back at me.
After the last kid left I started to pack away my stuff and Xander just floated about the classroom. "I have dinner in the warmer..." he says sitting on my desk. "Aw thanks kitten, I'm sure it's gonna be delicious" I smile searching for my pencil. "It will be but I'm looking forward to dessert" he winks. "Keep it in your pants for another day, we both needa get some sleep tonight. Got a lot of things for the house that we needa sort out tomorrow..." I trail looking through my papers. I've never been so excited to do house work- scratch that, I've never been so happy to say the word house. Each letter of the word reminded me of how far I've gotten in my relationship and on my own.
"Must say that sounds nice... we needa sort things out for our house. Damn, who would've thought..."
"You know, it's like we're married" I giggle not realising what I'm saying, he suddenly seemed quiet, in all aspects. The colour seemed to slowly drip from his face and his eyes became empty. "Marriage" he utters in a hollow voice. "I'm in no rush to get married, I mean I know I had that whole freak out about us and our future but I'm not the only person in this relationship."
"Yeah, but- I wanna like- I dunno marry you and, well. I made chicken and there's salad and I made that weird pineapple bean stuff you like" he says rambling, picking up my case and rushing out of the class. "Idiot" I giggle watching him as he continues to ramble about pineapples.
It was always fun just listening to him talk but I especially appreciate this conversation. Lately Xan has been very busy with... something. He hasn't been home often and I know he's generally not in the office, his assistant says he's running errands or he's in a meeting but I know his daily routine better than he does. I'm not going to question it though, usually there's something good that comes with his strange behaviour.
