"Emily? Em? Hun?"

I groaned as that angelic voice, which no doubt came from my mom, wakes me up.

"Ma, just give me five more minutes!" I moved to my side and frowned when my favorite pillow was not there. I patted my other side and was quite contented when I felt something. I pulled it under my cheek and sighed at it's warm temperature.

Wait, why is this thing warm?

Suddenly, everything crashes down on me.

Me meeting Adam's grandpa, him saying he loves me and my parents in front of me.

My parents.

I opened my eyes and gasped, "Adam."

He smiled charmingly, "Glad you're awake." His hand underneath my cheeks moved and caressed my other cheek.

I felt my freaking blood rush towards my ducking cheeks. I'm blushing, great. -note the sarcasm.

"Hands off." I heard dad's voice behind him.

"Dad!" I gasped out. I stood up but eventually went back down when I felt a little bit dizzy.

"Easy." Adam chuckled.

Ignoring him, I stood up again and walked towards dad. "Daddy, I missed you!

He chuckled before hugging me.

"What about me, young lady?"

I gasped before engulfing my mom with a tight hug, "Mom."

Pulling away, I asked. "What happened?! Why are you guys here?!"

"Well, now that the... person who's in charge is... taken care off, we are now free." She smiled sadly, "I guess you know everything?"

"Just enough." I shook my head, "I'm not planning to know more."

Mom grinned sheepishly. "That's alright, Adam can help you with the family business."

I choked on my own salive. Excuse me?

"Uh, I think my future husband would be the one doing that." Not him.

"Hmm?" Dad mumbled, "I don't like him but he's going to be the best candidate for the spot." What? My love life's a game show now? "Plus, he's your fiancé."

What?

Snapping my head towards Adam, I glared at him. "It's fake."

"It is?" He asked sarcastically.

"It is." I nodded.

"Sure?" He pursed his lips.

"Sureness." I nodded.

"U-huh?" He raised an eye brow.

"Yahuh." I nodded.

"Mm-hmm?" He snorted

"Mm-mmm." I nodded.

"Really?" He smirked.

"Really."

"So if I'll propose to you right now, you'll still say it's fake?"

I snapped my mouth shut. What?

"I... guess." I cleared my throat, "I mean, I'm not saying yes. I just met you like... 3 months ago or something."

Something flashed on his eyes, "So you don't love me?"

"I do!" I said quickly, "But uh, you know... You haven't really met my parents yet and we haven't been in a situation where you had to save my life and risk yours."

He raised an eyebrow, silently saying 'oh really?'

"Okay, I guess you already have, but my parents doesn't know you yet other than your name."

"Actually hun, he's the Adam whose grandparents died in a house fire years ago."

Oh, he's HIM?

I remembered my mom telling me about that when I was 10. The little boy was an orphan and an old couple rasied him, but 3 years later their house was caught on fire and my dad's company -probably the corporarion- took him in.

So long story short, my parents knows him and his past.

His past.

How can I agree to marry someone I barely know? I just knew what his last name was yesterday, I'm not sure with his age, I... I barely know him.

And that scares me.

"So?" He smirked, "You're marrying me?"

"No." I rolled my eyes, "3 reasons, just three reasons. First, I barely know 'know' you; Second, we're not together and third, this is not how you propose to anybody."

He grinned cheekily, "But you're not just anybody, you're Emily. My Emily."

Excuse me?

"Em, we have to go. We have some papers back in the office, piling up." Mom frowned before walking towards the door.

"Bye!" I waved them good bye.

Shit. I'm alone with him right now.

"So..." I muttered awkwardly.

He looked sad, before looking determined and said, "If you're not marrying me on your own will, then I'm going to-"

"Adam." I gulped, taking a step back. I immediately put my fighting pose on, "I studied Kendo, Aikido, Taekwando, and Karateeey." I lied through my gritted teeth and glared at him, "Take one step forward, and you'll be kissing my feet." I've not studied those but a little lie won't hurt anybody... In a way.

He smirked, "I prefer kissing your lips though."

He laughed as I face palmed, "I was about to say 'I'm going to make you see the real me.' Although, I've been myself everytime I'm around you."

I opened my mouth to retort when he smiled at me, "Don't worry. I'm going to take you out on dates and wait just like a real boyfriend does." He took my hands and kissed them, "We have our whole life ahead of us, afterall."

......... Am I supposed to be squealing in happiness or be frightened ?

"We're together?" I asked mockingly.

He looked at me straight in the eyes, "Emily, be my girlfriend."

I smiled, blushing slightly. "I guess."

"Is that a yes?"

"Yup."

"Say it." He smiled back, "Say the words to make it official."

I chuckled, "Yes, I'll be your girlfriend."

He grinned, "Emily, be my wife."

I rolled my eyes, "That's not how it works, Adam."

He pecked my lips, catching me off guard, "I know."

"Did you just..." I muttered, still in shock.

"Did I just what?"

"... kiss me?"

"Kiss? Pfft, no." Then suddenly, his face went closer, and closer. Before his lips touched mine and meteorites blew up inside me, "Now yes, yes I just kissed you."
