Odelia sat through her first two periods on a Monday and felt like she was dying. She really hated school. All she wanted to do was get out of there. It also didn't help that it was her father's birthday this week and she couldn't help but feel sad at the fact her family would be celebrating without her.

Odelia held back her tears while the teacher spoke. But eventually she couldn't last.

"Could I please go to the toilet?" She asked with her hand raised in the air. The teacher nodded and Odelia ran quickly out of the class which was Religious Studies with all of her friends.

They were concerned about her because they saw she wasn't the same as she usually was.

Marc immediately got up straight away and ran after her.

"I'll go as well." Melany said and followed them both.

Marc shouted her name as he ran into the closest toilet.

Girls screamed when he walked in but he ignored them and asked them politely to leave. He could hear Odelia crying behind the closed door.

"Odelia are you okay?" He asked leaning against the door.

"Yeah, I'm fine." She said with a hiccup in her voice.

"Odelia you are not fine. Now open the door." He said sternly.

"No Marc, go back to class." She whispered making Marc sigh.

"Odelia I'm not kidding...I'll climb over the door." He said just as Melany walked into the toilet.

"What's wrong?" She asked standing next to Marc.

"She's not coming out so I'm going to climb over." He said and went into the toilet next to the one Odelia locked herself. He climbed onto the toilet and over the wall and carefully jumped down in front of Odelia.

He pulled her into a hug as she balled out in tears.

"It's okay." He whispered before unlocking the door and moving them out.

"What's wrong O?" Melany asked with rubbing her hand down Odelia's back to sooth her.

"It's nothing really." Odelia whispered.

"It's obviously something if you're crying." Melany said joining in on their hug.

"It's just...it's my dad's birthday today and I just miss everyone. I miss France and I miss my family." Odelia explained as they walked out of the toilet and went to sit in the quiet cafeteria.

"Aww Odelia." Melany said pulling her into a hug.

"I know it's silly. I'm basically an adult and I'm crying over this."

"Odelia we all went through this. In our first year it would happen every week. This is so normal." Melany said making Odelia nod. Marc wiped away her tears making her laugh.

"Thanks. But we should probably get back to class." Odelia whispered so they all walked back to the class. Everyone inside was looking at her. Odelia ignored them and sat next to Paulo who held her hand.

"Are you okay?" He whispered and she nodded; giving him a small smile.

Next period, Odelia was in PE with a few of her friends. She really wasn't in the mood but they were playing baseball so she just joined in. Odelia looked in the toilet mirror at her puffy cheeks and red eyes. Her crying wasn't too noticeable but there were certain tell tale signs that she had been.

As she walked out of the changing room she bumped straight into Fernando and Pierre. Melany then went and walked with Pierre leaving Fernando and Odelia alone. Fernando looked down at the French girl who looked upset. He just wanted to hug her and make sure she was okay.
