I WAS IN THE process of opening my birthday presents when the door to my room opened. I directed my gaze to Jade's short figure and mostly observed as she drew a few steps closer toward me. She dropped herself down on the edge of my bed and permitted her eyes to dance around my room.

"You know, eventually you're going to have to clean this up," she spoke up, her eyes wandering across the pile of birthday presents stacked up in front of me.

"I will," I promised, nodding.

While Jade was too busy rummaging through my presents, I took hold of my phone and sent a text message to Blaze.

Moments passed by, and I spent it anxiously waiting for a reply. What if Winston told him?

No, he promised he wouldn't.

While reflecting upon my actions, my phone pinged, indicating a message was sent.
