Shiloh's POV
It's been eight years. Eight years since that dreadful day. Eight years, I've been in this place and every day is worst than the day before. "Bitch! Get up!" Someone yelled as I groggily open my eyes. "You're so fat. But, anyway, Ms. Carroll wants everyone down for breakfast. So get your fugly ass up." Rosemary, one of the girls I shared the room with spoke from above me. I mumbled to myself as I watched her leave our room. I showered and changed into long sleeves and sweatpants.

Everyone in the home was sat at the table when I arrived in the dining room. Some of the girls whispered and stared at me as I walked past. "Ahh, Shiloh. Are you hungry for anything?" Ms. Carroll questioned as I shook my head no and slumped into my seat. I hadn't eaten in about three days. Charlotte has tried to make me eat, but it never worked. After breakfast, we all went back up to our rooms so other kids could shower and get ready for people to arrive.

"When everyone is finished, please report back downstairs in the lobby. People will be arriving soon." Ms. Carroll called over the loud-speaker as I laid back down on my bed. "You know, Shiloh. Shiloh is such a weird name, isn't it a boys name?" Bailey-another roommate- asked me which caused Rosemary and Bailey both to laugh. After they left our room, I walked into the bathroom and locked the door. I searched for my hidden helper and slid down the wall to the floor. I brought it to my wrist and smiled as I drew it across my arm.

I cleaned myself up and then met everyone downstairs. "Alright everyone. People have started arriving and will begin looking at you." She said proudly as I looked around me and rolled my eyes after I realized that I was standing next to Rosemary. A group of four boys walked in and most of the girls screamed and some even cried. "You're never gonna get adopted. You know that right?" Rosemary whispered as I stared over at her. The boy in front of me had jet black hair (it was clearly dyed) and was looking either of us over.

"What's your name?" He asked me as I avoided eye contact. "You don't want her, Mikey. She's gross, ugly and fat. She has a boy name. Shiloh is such an ugly name!" She snickered as her friends around her giggled. The boy apparently named Mikey glared at them and then looked back at me and grinned. "I can't believe you're being adopted by 5 Seconds of Summer! It's so unfair! The greatest band in the world and you don't even care!" Rosemary exclaimed as I just stared at her in silence. I was being adopted by a boy band? The boy named Mikey quickly walked away and over to the three other boys. They were all briefly talking and then looked over at me.

They quietly spoke to Ms. Carroll and she called me over. "Shiloh, go pack your things. You're being adopted!" She cheered as my jaw dropped. "Uh, Ms. Carroll I actually don't have anything upstairs...." I replied as she looked down at me. "What happened to your suitcase full of clothes?" She questioned as I looked up at her. "I'm not six anymore. I'm fourteen now, almost fifteen. I grew out of those clothes.." I murmured/lied as she raised her eyebrow. "Are you sure? I mean, with your eating dis-" I gawked at her with wide eyes, urging her not to say anything.

She looked at the boys and shrugged. "Ashton, dear. Just come with me to sign some papers." The oldest boy, who wore a red bandana around his head nodded and followed behind Ms. Carroll. The other three boys smiled down at me and introduced themselves. "Hey! I'm Calum!" The boy with dark hair greeted and I nodded. The next one was a boy with blonde hair. "Hello, I'm Luke." He spoke with a deep voice. "You've already met me! But, I'm Michael. By the way, Shiloh is a beautiful name. Very uncommon, but I like it." He smiled and I briefly smiled back.

Ashton soon appeared back with Ms. Carroll and grinned down at me. "Are you excited to be living with us?" He asked as we were led outside to a big black truck. "I guess." I replied nonchalantly. All three of them looked at each other and then looked over when they heard the front door shut. "Alright kiddies! Let's get home with our new family member!" Ashton cheered as I rolled my eyes and slid in after Mikey. We were all sitting in the back of the big truck, them staring at me, me staring out the window.

"So... What things do you like to do for fun?" Luke questioned as I turned to look at him. "Um..." I racked my brain for an answer before suddenly smiling. "Well before my sister- I-I mean, uh.... Never mind!" I rushed out as they all looked at me funny. Calum leaned over and whispered in Ashton's ear; Ashton then shook his head no and briefly smiled over at me. We pulled up to a giant mansion and my jaw dropped in awe. "It's beautiful..." I stated as I slowly got out of the car, taking everything in.

"Come on squirt, I'll show your new room!" Ashton said excitedly and ran inside the house. I stood frozen on the pavement at the nickname he called me. My father used to call me that and tears swelled in my eyes just at the thought. "Hey, you all right?" Calum inquired as I nodded quickly and wiped at my eyes. "By the way... What's with the heavy clothing? It's like 80 degrees outside right now." He confirmed while staring at his phone.

I shrugged and followed the others inside. "The heat doesn't bother me." I replied as Luke and Calum slowly nodded. "Also, is your name actually Shiloh Grace? Or is Grace your middle name?" Luke asked as he jumped up on the counter and bit into an apple. "Grace is my middle name. It just went so well together, mostly everyone just decided to call me that." I responded as Ashton called my name from up top the stairs. "Shiloh Grace Irwin! I've been calling you for the past five minutes! Get up here so I can show you your room!" Calum ushered me away while I laughed and met Ashton at the top.

He was standing beside a plain white door while holding the knob, and smirking. "Bievenue dans votre nouvelle salle!" (Translation: Welcome to your new room!) He exclaimed as I giggled. "Nice French. I think you were a little off on your accent though." I replied as he scoffed. "At least I tried, Shiloh. Give me some slack!" He cried while following me into my new room. "Ashton! Calm down, I was joking. I like it. I even get my own bathroom." I said while smiling.

"Of course, you're a girl after all." He responded while I jumped onto the bed. "You need your privacy and we understand that. We'll be downstairs if you need us. Everything is fully stocked with your size, so just come down when you feel like it and we'll decide on something for dinner." He smiled sweetly as he left my room and I sighed.

I didn't want the boys to find out I was both Bulimic and Anorexic.

A/N:

Hi everyone!!! This is legit my gazillionth time trying to write a book. I have ideas but then have no idea how to start them & give them good middle chapters.. But I always have good endings!!

Anywho...

The way that Shiloh is both is because she doesn't eat to begin with, but when someone forces her to eat, she eats and then quickly goes to puke it right back up. So therefore, she's diagnosed with both.

Will she get better??

Read and find out! ;)

Love all my readers, and bear with me as I attempt to actually complete a second book.

Sincerely,

Maddie <3
