Shiloh's POV
"No mommy... No!" I screamed while watching in horror as she held Amethyst by the hair. Amethyst had snuck out the night before, to be with her boyfriend; Derek. "Let go of me!" She screamed as I was crying now again. "Veronica. Move aside and tie up Shiloh as well. She was in on Amethyst sneaking out, therefore they both must be whipped." My father roared as Amethyst looked over at me with wide eyes. "No dad! She's just four!!" Amethyst screamed as our mother walked over and grabbed me harshly by the wrist. She tied me to the railing of the stairs, with my back to my father.

Amethyst screamed out in pain as the whip thwacked against her skin. My father evilly grinned as he raised the whip again and then hit me.

I screamed out, waking myself up to see all four boys in my room. "What, what's going on?" I asked as I wiped my face; realizing it was wet with tears. "You were screaming out in pain, Shiloh. As if someone was beating you..." Luke trailed off, his blue eyes boring into me. "It woke all of us up, actually. We were scared shitless. Thinking someone had snuck in and was actually beating you." Calum butted in, also watching me. "What time is it?" I yawned as Ashton walked over to my bedside. "It's midnight. You still have plenty of hours of sleep. So, try and go back to sleep." He assured as he caressed my hair and then landed on my cheek.

The boys filed out, leaving Ashton last. "Ashton?" I softly called as he turned to look at me. "Yea, kiddo?" He said as he cocked his head to look at me. "Can you stay... Here, with me?" I slowly asked as he nodded and walked to my bed. He got in next to me and I rolled into his side. I felt safe in his arms, as if my memories of my parents couldn't harm me anymore.

8 hours later

I awoke to a big person laying next to me. The curly hair tickled my neck as I slowly shimmied out of my bed. Ashton grumbled in his sleep as his eyes slowly opened. "Good morning sleepy prince." I said, trying to use the joke that the boys used on me. "Sleepy prince?" His raspy voice spoke as I giggled. "I tried. Now, I'm going to shower." He nodded and got up to stretch.

Ashton's POV
As Shiloh got in the shower, I thought about what I did last night while she was sleeping. I searched her arms for anymore cuts. I hadn't seen any new fresh ones which I was happy about. I left her room and met the other boys downstairs in the kitchen. "We didn't see you go back to your room last night." Luke spoke up as I rubbed the back of my neck. "Um, yeah. Shiloh asked if I could stay with her.. And I did." The boys aww'd as I rolled my eyes. "Hey guys." I jumped and turned to see Shiloh.

"Hey." I smiled at her as she walked to the fridge. We all watched her silently as she slowly drank apple juice (apple juice is life btw) and set the glass down when she was finished. "Are you excited for your first day back today?" Mikey spoke up as she shrugged in response. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom, and then we can head to the school." I said as they all nodded. I jogged up the stairs and ran into my bathroom.

Shiloh's POV
"Guys lets take a selfie for my first day back!" I suggested as Calum, Luke and Mike agreed. I got the camera ready and put my hand under my chin and smiled. Calum was in between Luke and Michael and was smiling normally. Luke and Mikey both smiled with their tongues sticking out as I pressed the camera button; capturing the photo. "I like it!" I said as I stared at it. "Alright kiddies! Let's get Shiloh to school!" Ashton cheered as we all followed him out to the car.

As we pulled up to the school, girls stared over and gaped as the boys got out of the van with me. Girls whispered, whined, muttered things as we walked past. I tried to ignore things that were being said, and then someone placed their hand on my shoulder. "Just ignore them, babe." Calum said quietly as I nodded. "Ashton! Luke! Can I get your autographs!" Girls yelled as we were literally chased into the building. We instantly found the admissions office and sighed in relief. "You must be Shiloh. Welcome to Belle-View High." The lady at the front desk said in a monotone voice.

"Yes. And I'm Ashton Irwin, her adoptive father and (don't know why Wattpad keeps changing "and" to "no"!) legal guardian." Ashton commented from beside me. The lady just nodded her head and typed things into the computer. "I'll send one of our office runners down here to show you around. Just sit there. Boys, you may leave now. School ends at 1:30. (My school time runs from 7:10-1:30. So I'm going based off that (:). The boys all hugged me goodbye and said they would be here later to pick me up. I sat, and waited for the office runner to show up.

"Shiloh?!" I looked up and smiled at the boy. "Hey Logan! I didn't know you went here." I replied as the lady looked up. "Good, you know each other." She waved us off and I gave Logan my schedule and he grinned. "We have all the same classes together! Even lunch!" I nodded that I was happy with the news. We walked to our first class; English. The classes carried on until we finally went to lunch. "You can sit with me and my friends, if you'd like." I nodded again and followed him to a table filled with people.

"Everyone! Meet Shiloh Irwin! Adoptive daughter of-" I yanked on his shirt and drew my hand across my neck. Logan nodded and stopped talking. I frowned when I noticed the boys had packed me a lunch. I took it out of my bag and went to throw it out. "Why are you wasting your food?" A girl asked as I turned to face her. "Hello, I'm Nellie." She introduced herself, me introducing back. "I'm not hungry.. Do you guys want it?" I questioned, holding it up. A boy-named Aaron- held up his hand and I tossed it to him.

"You're extremely skinny for a fifteen year old, by the way. Are you sick?" Nellie questioned as I ignored her questioned and scrolled through my phone. "What's it like, living with a boy band?" Another girl-named Willow- asked as I smiled. "It's nice. They're really fun and caring." I responded as Willow smiled back. The bell rang signaling the end of lunch and school. I walked through the halls and stopped when I heard my name. "Why'd they adopt her? She's so ugly! And she's freakishly skinny too.. I mean, what's up with that? She clearly doesn't want to be here, she should just kill herself."

I hastily wiped away the tears as I stormed out of the school doors, past the boys waiting van. I began walking down the street, towards the house when I stopped at a certain street. Was I really this close? I walked a little farther and turned the corner. I walked one and a half more blocks before stopping. The boys had followed me because I heard them calling my name repeatedly. "Where are you going?!" Luke yelled, me still walking ahead. The tears still poured down my cheeks, everything still being bottled up inside of me. I kept walking ahead, to the house I knew all to well.

I stopped in front of it. Staring up at the two story home, the windows shut and it looked like no one lived here anymore. "Shiloh! Where are we?" Michael called as they all caught up to me. They all stood on my sides, staring up the house. "Shiloh, tell us where the hell we are!" Ashton yelled as I stayed, staring ahead.

"We have arrived. We're at where it all started.. Everything started, everything happened. We're in front of my old home." I whispered, just as the front door opened and out came the one person I thought I'd never see again.
