Chapter 2

(Sierra POV)

It's about 11:00 pm. My dad finally had came home and did the usual, you know.. Yell. I cleaned almost everything in the house and he still seemed to yell at me. Him and my mom together are just.. Let's just say they are both monsters.

I start to gather up my stuff to go take a shower. "Sierra!!" My mom yells from across the hall. I couldn't help but roll my eyes, she's been working me all day. I walk out the room and into her room. "Yes" I said with a dull tone. "Why did I get a phone call from the connivence store saying you stole something." She said as she took a puff out her cigarette and my heart stopped. "What? I-i didn't steal anything" I lied. She got up and slapped me right in my face.

"DON'T LIE TO ME!" She yelled and I cried as I held my now red bruised face. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU STEAL" she yelled again. "Mom" I cried. "I took the beer you wanted" I whimpered and her eyes got big. "Who the hell told you to steal beer. Why didn't you just pay for it!" She screamed getting closer in my face. I tried to take a step back but she yanked me by my shirt and pulled me closer. I couldn't help but cry, I just wish I had a normal life.

"ANSWER ME" she shrieked. "Mommy I-i couldn't P-pay for it because I'm t-too young" i sobbed. She finally let go but she pushed me to the ground. "How would you not have thought you were gonna get caught you idiot!! I go into the store everyday they know who you are!!" She yelled and I kept crying.

My dad walked into the room shirtless and a bottle of alcohol in his hand. "What's going on in here". "Well for starters your daughter stole beer from the corner store" my mom said and he looked at me and pointed his finger towards "the room". The room is a room where he beats me and do whatever he wants to me.

"Daddy no please" I cried. "I was only doing it for mommy. She told me to get beer for her so that's the only way I could have did it" I was bawling my eyes out. "I did no such thing" my mom said in disgust. My eyes widened, I can't believe she's lying like that. "So now your lying on your mother" he said as he bent down to my level. "I'M NOT LYING" I screamed and he jerked me up. "IN THE ROOM NOW" he yelled and I walked very fast into "the room".

I can't do it anymore. I need to get out of here. Fast! I snuck out the room and into my room. I grabbed a small back pack and packed some clothes into it. I slowly went into the kitchen and ran over to my moms "purse". I grabbed a few bucks and her bus card and went out the door before my parents seen me.

I don't know where to go but I have to go somewhere. I walked over to the bus station and waited for the bus. The bus came in like 10 mins. I got on and sat down in the middle of the bus. As the bus drove off I looked around and my eyes fell on an advertisement poster. It was for the Braxton's concert taking place tomorrow night. I checked how much money I had to see if I can get a ticket and there was no possible way. The bus stopped to the corner store where I stole the beer. I can't get off here!!

"Sweetie this is my last stop you have to get off" the bus driver said.

I sighed then got off the bus.

Oh Sierra what are you doing?
Where are you gonna go?

I walked around the block trying to find a place to go. "Hey there sexy" a guy said as he pulled up in a car. I ignored him and kept walking but he kept driving up. "Aw come on don't be like that" he said. "Just leave me alone" I said and started walking even faster. He put his car in park and hopped out. My heart beating faster and faster as he came closer to me.

"Come on don't be a party pooper, why don't you get in the car and we can go back to my place" he said putting his hand on my thigh. "Please I'm just trying to go home" I lied.

"Shhhh" he said as he put his finger over my lips. "Everything will be just fine" he said leaning in for a kiss.

"HEY" I heard a man yell. "Get off her now!!" He said coming closer to us. The flirt got off me and started running. I looked closely at the other man and once I realized who it was I started to speed walk.

"Get over here Sierra" the man said. I stopped and put my head down in shame. The man finally approached me. "Why aren't you home young lady" he said. "I was just taking a walk" I said to the man who owns the corner store. Also the man who called my mom. "Really? This time at night" he asked and I shook my head.

"Come on let's go in" he said motioning his hands for me to come. I followed him into the store. "Want something to drink? Perhaps a beer?" He said and I rolled my eyes. "I'm sorry. I was getting it for mom" I said and he shook his head understanding. "I figured. It's alright. So tell me why your really here" he said and I started explaining.

(Toni Braxton's POV)

Me and the girls are at the airport going to Arkansas tonight. We have a concert to do tomorrow night. I absolutely love doing concerts with my sisters that's one thing we can all do that we all have fun doing and we all get along doing it. Although I miss my kids back at home, it's a lot to take in but I wouldn't trade what I do for the world.

"Toni Michelle Living Legend Braxton" my sister Tamar said snapping me out of my thoughts. "Yes Tamar" I said. "Come on we're getting ready to board." She said picking up her suitcase. I got up from the chair and grabbed my bags and started walking to the plane, all my sisters followed. We got on the plane and soon enough we took off. On our way to Arkansas.
