Bright Side

Enrique's POV

Tumawag sakin si mama. She said na they're on their way na nakasakay na sila sa kotse. Sabi nila they all excited to see me. I'm excited to see them too.

We ate breakfast ni Zia. Naligo na rin yung bata she's so excited to meet my family. They didn't know about Zia yet. I don't decided na to tell them it's a surprise.

Lagi kong ikwinekwento yung family ko sa bata para naman kahit papano makilala niya. I'm my family will love her,  mahilig sila sa bata so kaya I don't think so na magkaka problema kami.

May narinig akong katok sa pinto. Agad akong tumayo sa sala I was watching tv kasi. Pagbukas ko ng pinto bumungad sila mama. "Quen!" Sabi ni mama she hugged me tight and she was sobbing.

Hinigpitan ko yung yakap ko. "I miss you Quen." Sabi ni mama tas bumitaw na siya sa pagka yakap sakin. "I miss you mom." I said Niyakap ko din si daddy and all of us are crying together. Isa isa kong niyakap sila.

"Bro! I miss you dude finally may kalaro na naman ako sa Xbox." Sabay yakap sakin at gulo sa buhok ko. Teary eyes din si Javy. "Haha! Ah miss you bro. You're such a baby. Hahaha" Pabiro ko.

Nakita si Andie she just stand sa corner while looking at me crying. Nilapitan ko siya at niyakap "Aww. Yung baby damulag ko is now a lady. I miss you Ands." Sabi ko at hinalikan ko yung gilid nang head niya.

"I miss you so much kuya Quen!" Sabi niya sakin. "Okay guys. Enough drama hahaha kanina pa tayo nag I-MMK dito eh." Sabi ko then everyone's laughing. "Let's go inside."

When they saw Zia sleeping. I can tell na yung mukha nila eh parang nakakita nang multo. "Quen? Sino yung bata?" Dad asked me. "She's my daughter pa." I said with a flat tone. Para mas convincing. Hahaha

"Since when? Ang laki niya na and tinago mo talaga samin ha." She's mad now. "Hahahaha!  Just kidding ma. Her name is Zia." I said.At kwinento ko sa kanila yung nangyari at naiintindihan naman ako nila.

Nagpa alam muna sila mama na to buy foods. She said na she would cook lunch for us so kaming apat yung naiwanan dito sa hotel.

"She's beautiful." Andie said. "And she looks like ate Hopey." She continued. "Yeaah she does, I always said to her na she actually look like Hopey when Hope was a kid.  speaking of Hopey. How is she?" Tanong ko sa kanila.

"Nasa US na siya. They family decided to send her there. Because of the pain that she sufferred. She was devastated about your death Quen. Thankfully you'rer not dead.  " Sabi ni Javy. My heart breaks a little when I heard that.

"She needs to know na buhay pa ako. She suffered a lot of pains." I said. "Yeaah you need to contact her as soon as possible I bet she miss you." Sabi ni Andie. "God knows, how much I miss her." Sabi ko sa kanila.

Hope's POV

It's been a week since nagusap kami ni James. I'm still thinking about it lately. I also asked my mom for advice about it. She said na I should go for it. And look for the bright side.

Ganoon din sabi ni Michelle. She said na Quen is dead at di ko na mababalik si Quen dito sa mundo.  Which may point sila. I guess this is a good start.

I look up to the sky at nakita ko yunh star namin ni Quen. Our favorite star. Quen, I miss you but I have to let you go. But I will never forget you. I will never ever forget about us. You're always be my number one.  I know you're doing great up there.

Tomorrow is our first date. Yeaah, James asked me out. And I said yes. I guess I should give him a chance. I am planning na sasagutin ko siya bukas.

If there is one guy na I trust today eh si James yun he's been there with me for past 3 years. And he never give up on me. Even though ilang beses ko na siyang nireject. Natulog na ako maaga pa kami bukas.

"Hope? Wake up James is here." My mom said. "Ha? Already?! It's too early!" I said out loud "You think so? It's already 10am,  my dear." Mom said while showing off her phone so I can see the time.

"Ugh! And you didn't even wake me up mom." I said. "So what am I doing then?" She said while laughing. Minsan talaga si mommy may pagka sarcastic din eh. "Ugh whatever mom." I said at mabilis na kong pumunta sa banyo.

After 30 mins. Natapos narin ako ritwal ko bumaba na ako sa kwarto. I'm just wearing skinny jeans and black shirt with black leather jacket. I like wearing it.

"Finally!" He said while clapping. Lagi siyang ganyan parang engot na ewan. "HA-Ha-Ha let's go." I said while rolling my eyes. I kissed mom at umalis na kami. "Have fun!" Sabi ni mommy while waving at us.

Nag enjoy naman kami ni James nag balling kami tapos kumain sa fast foods. He's fun to be  with and I enjoy it.

"Goodnight." He said nasa harap na kami ng bahay namin eh. Hinatid niya na ako. "I had fun today James. Thank you." I said. "Me too. You're welcome." Sabi niya sakin na naka ngiti.

"Uhmm James. I have something to tell you." I said nervously. "Yeaaah?" He asked me. "Ahh.. you said last time that I should move forward I guess you're right." Sabi ko sa kanya. Believe me I am having trouble in speaking so I let a nervous laugh.

"Thankfully. Haha" sabi niya sakin. Lagi siyang ganto kasi palaga kami nagjojoke kaya yon di niya na alam kung seryoso yung sinasabi ko o hindi.

"I'm not yet finish. And Yes I am giving you a chance. It's a yes." I said while smiling. Nakita ko na he froze at namumutla siya. As in kitang kita sa pagmumukha niya na nagulat siya.

"A.. a-re you serious?" Tanong niya medyo kabado pero maka ngiti wagas. "Yeaah you don't want us to be together?" I asked him.

"Noooo, hell noo! I want us. I mean I ahh..  oh my god I'm stuttering.. " Haha he can't speak straight. " I mean I just can't believe that you and I are you know, together. Oh Lord tell me this is not a dream." He said with his British accent voice.

"You're not dreaming idiot." I said while smiling. "Thank God! Haha so yeaah? Omygod. Can I hug you?" Tanong niya sakin. And I open my arms so he can hug me. "Of course." I said.

We said goodbye to eache other. So yeah this is how my day ended and it's good to feel na I am already starting to feel something again. I guess I should look at the bright side.
