Oh god. It's starting. I started sweating as my knees locked beneath me. I turned around as a hand laid down on my shoulder. It was Dan. His hazel-brown eyes locked with mine. He smiled a little bit. His smile is really pretty. I wish he did that more often.
Our heads both turned when the music started playing.
"You with the wide eyes, don't lose your courage"
Chris stepped outside, walking out of the small backstage. The crowd roared with approval.
"You swing your head high and don't be worried"
He was smiling and waving at the crowd as they cheered for him.
"Your heart's in a free ride, feel it beating"
He caught a rose that a girl threw for him to catch in the first row.
"Caught in the headlights, climb to the ceiling"
He came back into the backstage, with a wide smile. "That was fun."
Then it was Dan's turn.
"We're all animals out in the dark"
He walked out a little less energetic, but the crowd approved of his choice of clothing.
"Got a feeling that we're all believing in"
He waved a little, smiling a little bit.
Not waiting for daylight to start
He turned around, for others to see the entire patterns on his jacket.
We're over the moon, over the midnight moon
Dan also arrived back with a small smile plastered on his face. He turned to me, patted my back and whispered, "Good luck."
Then I stepped out onto the stage.
