I woke up with a lack of warmth by my side. I noticed Phil was gone. I was about to panic when I noticed a small note on the side of the bed. I picked it up.

I'm so sorry for leaving you early and not telling you about this, but my mum is after me. I don't want you to get hurt. I'm sure I'll see you soon. - Phil
I just kept rereading it.
I have to go save him, he's one of my best friends...I cut my thoughts short. Best friend? I feel like he's more than a best friend. More than family.
Where was he? I whipped out my phone, and texted Louise.
Me: Where's Phil?

She didn't reply for a long time. I just shrugged it off. She was probably sitting around, talking to her friends or something. I slipped down into the bed and fell asleep again.
