I watched Dan as he slept. For some odd reason, I didn't feel tired at all. I just looked on his sleeping form, chest moving up and down in rhythm, his hair starting to curl. He looked so peaceful, unlike me, who had thoughts crashing, emotions burning, and my life a mess. I brushed my hand against his hair, to which he sighed contentedly to.

I watched him for a few moments more, and started to leave, but heard Dan whimpering on his bed. "Phil-"

I went back to sit by him again. He kept whimpering, it getting louder by the minute. Soon he was yelling my name, then yelled something along the lines of "don't leave me here" I shook him.

"Dan! Dan!" I called. He rubbed his sleepy eyes, but sat up in a few seconds.

"Phil? Are you still there?" He asked, fear imminent in his voice.

I calmed him, telling him I was still here, while playing with his curly hair.

"Please don't go," he murmured into my chest, his arms wrapping around my waist.

I felt shocked at first at the contact, but pulled him in and kept playing with his hair. He fell asleep again, and I looked at the clock. 3:00. I'll try to sleep too... I guess.

I slept sitting up, not daring to move, incase I woke up Dan. It wasn't long, after Dan's welcoming arms and the soft bed, that I fell asleep.
