Third person's POV

Tenten vehemently shook her head, moving it away from the spoon Boruto was holding. "No!"

"Come on! Geez!..." Boruto muttered in frustration. I watched their exchange with a troubled expression, wondering why I had been roped into this situation. Oh my god, why me? I thought to myself.

"No!" Tenten shook her head again, clearly disgusted by what was on the spoon.

Boruto's eyes narrowed, and he seemed almost ready to glare at the little girl. "We heard your stomach growl! You have to be hungry!"

"Do you even know what you're trying to feed her?" I asked, unfazed by his irritation. Boruto looked at me, clearly offended by my question.

"Like I said, yeah! My mother told me what to buy, so I did!" He complained. I studied him for a moment before letting out a sigh. I simply didn't know what to do with him.

Himawari had told me he was seventeen, but sometimes, he acted more like a six-year-old child!

"Look, you should know what you're feeding her! If this is the right thing for her, then try it by yourself!" I suggested, crossing my arms.

Boruto groaned, growing even more annoyed with me. Our eyes locked, and I maintained a serious expression. Time seemed to drag on until Boruto finally let out a sigh.

"Fine. I'll eat a bit and I'll show you it's not poison!" Boruto said begrudgingly. I couldn't help but smile brightly, which made him look at me again. He quickly averted his gaze and took another spoonful.

"Well then, take your poison," I teased, waiting with excitement. Even Tenten seemed to be curious now.

Your POV

The moment arrived at last! My heart raced with anticipation, and I couldn't help but hold my breath. Aaaaand...

But then, he suddenly stopped, his gaze locking onto me with a hint of confusion. "Don't give me that look..." He paused, collecting himself, and then attempted once more.

"Aaaand?" I asked curiously, my eyes fixed on him. To my surprise, his face turned crimson. Why was he blushing? What had just happened?

"What's the matter, Uzumaki?" I inquired, unable to hide my curiosity.

"OOOOOHHH, you two look like a couple!" Tenten chimed in happily. Wait, were our faces that close?

Oh, no, not another embarrassing moment. My face grew hotter, and I hastily took a few steps back from him.

"Sorry..." I mumbled, feeling ashamed of my reaction and everything else. Boruto quickly grabbed a glass of water and started drinking it like a man possessed.

"It's spicy!" he gasped, panting heavily. Wait, WHAT?! He had tried to feed a kid spicy sauce?! What an idiot...

"Seriously?! You tried to feed her spicy sauce?! What's wrong with you?!" I couldn't help but voice my disbelief and frustration.

"Well, sorry, murderer!" My eyes widened, and I felt tears welling up. I knew people had called me that before, but it still stung. Nobody seemed to be on my side now, and the absence of Sasuke and Itachi made it even harder to bear. I had managed to hold back my tears at the amusement park, but now, I couldn't hold them in any longer.

"Onee? Murderer?" Tenten asked in disbelief, her innocent eyes searching for an explanation. It was hard for a child to comprehend. I felt a surge of anger building up inside me, but I refused to let it out in front of her.

"Sorry, I need to use the bathroom," I said hastily, rushing to the nearest restroom and locking the door behind me. How could I be so stupid? Why did I feel like there was a heavy stone in my stomach? Being called a murderer by him... It hurt so much.
