"Hey Y/n." Nate pulls me into a hug.
"Hey Nate." I say. I greet the rest of the boys, and we take a seat on the couch. I'm sitting between Derek and Swazz, I'm leaning on Derek while fiddling with his fingers.
"Yo Nate, sorry we're late." I took up and see Sam and his new girlfriend Stassie.
"Does anyone want anything from the kitchen?" Derek asks. "Mami?" Derek asks me.
"No I'm good thank you." I smile.
"Have you guys seen Y/n new car?" Hayes asks.
"She got s new car?" Swazz asks.
"No, it's not mine it's Blake's he let be borrow it while he's in New York." I say. "Since I'm planning to get the one he got he's somewhat letting me test drive it." I say.
"Ooh that Blake." Nate says.
"What does that mean?" I laugh.
"Wait which one?" Tez asks.
"The one I hear you and Mali always gossip about how hot he is. Omg he's so hot he made me wet." Nate try's mimicking Mali's voice.
"You're disgusting." I hear Stassie say.
"That's what I hear Mali and Y/n talk about." Nate shrugs.
"Hey Mali, tsk he's something else. I don't use those words, especially not in my fathers company while I'm working. Plus that Blake is taken." I say.
"He is?" Derek asks. "I always thought he wanted it with you." He adds. "Especially when you were training and he was your mentor." Derek's winks.
"You're dumb." I laugh.
"What do you think Sam? The way he would be around Y/n, wasn't he trying to get at Y/n?" Derek asks.
"Yeah. He was trying to get at you every chance he got." Sam says looking at me.
"I mean I would totally go for him if he wasn't taken." I say. "But that's not the Blake I'm talking about I'm talking about Blake my cousin." I roll my eyes.
"Your step cousin?" Sam asks with a disgust face.
"Yeah." I say. My phone off goes indicating I got an important email.
"Guys I would love to stay but my duty calls me." I say.
"Already?" Derek asks.
"Yeah. I'm seeing you later though." I tell him.
"Alright best friend, take care." Derek pulls me into a hug and kisses my forehead.
"Take care. Bye guys." I say leaving Nate's and Swazz's house.

"So how are you holding up?" Derek asks me.
"I'm doing a lot better than I actually expected." I say honestly.
"I'm glad." Derek hugs me.
"I thought I wouldn't be able to see him with someone else, especially not in such a short amount of time." I say. "I guess I did pretty dam good job mentally preparing myself." I say.
"I'm proud I guess you can say." Derek says. "Just remember Y/n, you don't need no guy. You're Y/n, you came into this world without out a man." He says.
"Technically a man actually helped deliver me." I laugh.
"Stop fucking with me, you know what I mean." Derek says.
"Yes I do." I smile. "At first I was lost, but I don't need no guy, I'm an independent young women." I say.
"I'm glad." I turn around and see Sam. "I'm glad you're doing okay after our break up." Hesays. "I was a total dick and didn't give a fuck about others feelings." He admits.
"Sam" he cuts me off. "Y/n I want to make things right between us we were best friends before everything and I hurt my own best friend. For a girl that yes I do truly care and learning to love her, but it wasn't right of me to harm my own best friend." He says. "I'm sorry and I know I caused harm and that I can't take that back." He says. "I just wanted to ask if we can start all over again, our friendship?" He asks.
"I would very much enjoy that Sam. You were one of my best friends." I say and he pulls me into a hug.
"Yaye my family is back together!" Derek says fist pumping the air causing us to break into fir laughter.
