Major Signs, The Day of Judgement

Major Signs of The Day of Judgement:

The Day of Judgment is also known as the Day of Reckoning, the Hour, and the Last Day. The tribulation associated with it is described in the Qur'an and hadith (teachings of Prophet Mohammed pbuh)

Holy Quran:

Surah Al-Fatiha (The Opening) 1:4

Lord of the Day of Judgment!

Surah Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2:281

And be conscious of the Day on which you shall be brought back unto God, whereupon every human being shall be repaid in full for what he has earned, and none shall be wronged

Suraj Al-Imran (The Family of Imran) 3:9

"O our Sustainer! Verily, Thou wilt gather mankind together to witness the Day about [the coming of] which there is no doubt: verily, God never fails to fulfil His promise."

Mention of the Day of Judgement or the Last Hour can also be found in the Holy Bible.

Holy Bible:

Matthew 12:36

I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak.

Romans 14:10

Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God;

Hebrews 9:27

And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment

Matthew 24:36

“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.

Most of the signs of the Day of Judgement or most of its knowledge was given to the people by the beloved Prophet Mohammed pbuh, who would receive this knowledge through Gabriel by Allahs will.

Narrated by Hudhayfah ibn Usayd Ghifari

Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion).  He said: ‘What do you discuss about?’  (the Companions) said: ‘ We are discussing about the Last Hour.’   Thereupon he said:  ‘It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the

smoke, Dajjal, the beast,  the rising of the sun from the west,  the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him),  The Gog and Magog,  and landslides in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen,  and would drive people to the place of their assembly.’

The perfect order of these events is not known but these signs are very close to the Day of Judgement itself.

2. Anti-Christ (Ad-Dajaal)

3. Daabbah (Beast)

4. Coming of the sun from opposite direction

5. Coming of Jesus (Prophet Esa, May Allah be pleased with him)

6. Gog and Magog (Yajuj and Majuj)

7. Earthquake in the East

8. Earthquake in the West

9. Earthquake in the Arabian peninsula
