Chapter 14

Elizabeth's POV

"Princess, where is your necklace?" my father suddenly asked.

I almost chocked on my food but stopped it by drinking water.

Shit! I forgot I was wearing a t-shirt...really smooth Elizabeth.

I mentally slapped myself before giving her a nervous smile.

"I-I don't know. M-Maybe I forgot it at B-Blake's place?" I shuttered.

"That's not good. You know you have to wear it. It's really hard to get those medicine and it will take weeks until you get some. I better go and call Sandra." my mom said and was about to leave the room until I stopped her.

"Wait! No, I mean...I can just go and get it. I don't want to trouble her with something like that. Beside they are only down the street." I explained.

I didn't wait for them to answer. I jumped from my seat, grabbed my Jacket and phone and left the house.

I haven't seen Blake since two days now. We avoided each other or more like he avoided me more than I did. There were moments where I want to just go to him and say everything but I just can't find the right words for something like that. It's not that easy. Well I can't just go to him and say "Hey the reason I left is because I have a heart disease and won't live more than 2 years from now on. I hope we're all forgiven now.". Okay not the exact like that but close to it.

As I got closer to his house I saw some lights on. I quietly prayed that Sandra and Emily were home. It won't be that awkward if they are also at home.

I rang the doorbell and waited for a few seconds playing with my fingers. I was bit nervous and I also find it a bit rudely from me that I came without a call or something.

I heard some footsteps and then the door opened revealing Mrs. Anderson who had an apron on and holding a spatula in one hand.

"Elizabeth! What a surprise! Come in dear." she said with a cheerful voice before stepping aside letting me in.

"What brings you here at this time of day?" she asked smiling at me.

"I'm sorry for coming here without contacting you first. I only forgot something here and my mom told me to get it." I explained.

"Oh my! You could have just called and I would have asked Blake to bring it over to you instead of you coming here so late. It's really dangerous for a young and beautiful girl like you to wander out so late." she said.

"No, it's okay. I didn't wanted to trouble you so I came by myself. Can I quickly get it? Its maybe in Blake's room." I asked.

"Of course! You know where his room is. I don't think he's home right now." she said with a grin before she disappeared in the kitchen.

I shrugged it off and went upstairs to Blake's room. Since he wasn't at home I didn't care to knock so I slowly opened the door. Since the lights were out and it was already dark outside, I couldn't really see something. I didn't bother to turn on the lights so I slowly started to walk to where I remember was the bathroom.

I tried to be careful. I really tried not to trip or fall down and I curse my stupidness that I didn't turn on the lights. I only didn't pay attention for one second and suddenly I tripped on something and fell down. I tried to stop the fall with my hands which didn't worked so I fell on my right arm.

I groaned at the impact but it didn't hurt that much. I layed there rubbing my arm slowly waiting for the pain to get away.

I swear, whatever I tripped on, it wasn't there before. It came out from nowhere- Okay I'm being stupid here.

I sat up and groaned again feeling the pain on my back.

This floor is made from stone!

I slowly stood up and started walking again to the bathroom. I stretched my arms in front of me touching around to feel if I find the door. Which I did. I slowly opened it and turned on the lights. I sighed in relief.

"This took 10 minutes of my life which I won't get back..." I said and looked around searching for my necklace.

"Where did I put it...?" I asked myself quietly.

I searched on the counter, in cabinets and even in the bathtub and shower. Finally I kneeled down searching on the floor.

"It must be somewhere..." I mumbled to myself while I looked around.

I don't know why but I started to wiggle with my butt. I always did that when I was younger.

Suddenly I heard someone clearing his throat behind me and I froze in my place. My eyes widened and I immediately stood up and turned around only to see Blake standing there leaning against the door frame.

I felt a blush on my face and looked down trying to hide it.

OMG this is so embarrassing! He saw me wiggle my butt!

"Ehm...I-I.." I couldn't finish the sentence.

That's when I remembered it.

"Your mom told me you weren't here." I stated.

"She lied. I've been here the whole day." he said.

She planned this.....

Huff and I thought I just get it and then go home again. But no, now I'm standing in an awkward silent in Blake's bathroom. Damn that sounds a bit wrong.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when Blake spoke up.

"What are you doing in my room?" he asked a bit annoyed.

"Well good afternoon to you too." I said sarcastically.

"Just say what you're doing in my room, in my bathroom."

"No need to piss your pants. I only forgot something here and can't find it." I said now a bit annoyed. 

He doesn't need to act like that.
It was silence for a moment before he sighed.

"What did you forget?" he asked.

"You wanna help me to search for it?" I asked.

"I never said that."

"Why did you ask then?"

"Because I want you to take it and get out as soon as possible."

"Isn't it better to help me then?"

He didn't say anything telling me that I won this discussion.

"What it is? I mean the thing you forgot." he said.

Should I tell him? But what if he asks why I have those medicine? Should I lie. I'm horrible at lying....

"Ehm...a necklace...which is really important in my life..." I said quietly.

I saw a flash of emotion in his eyes but I must have only imagined it.

"Why is it so important?" he asked a bit...hurt?

Just shut up and help me search for it!

That's what I would have shouted but I couldn't.

"Just help me, will ya?" I asked and sighed before I searched for it again.

He didn't say anything and started searching around the floor with me. I tried to avoid his gaze which was on me sometimes and only focused on finding my medicine. After a while I finally found it under a pile of his clothes.

Ewww...

"Found it! Ahh I swear I will die without these pills." I said happily.

"What do you mean?" I suddenly heard Blake asking.

My eyes widened.

I forget he was there....

I bit my bottom lip and tried to hide my necklace behind my back which didn't help. He grabbed my wrist with the necklace and stared at it before his eyes widened in shock.

"For what do you need these?"
