On your way back home, you couldn't contain how static you felt. There are so many emotions that your body was trying to process. The thought of meeting new people and possibly having them as friends ran through your mind repeatedly. Of course, you do not know them that well but they seemed like nice people. There's that one guy that acted all high and mighty, but you pushed his sourness aside.
Then there's TenTen's suggestion, that really got your heart raising. What if you enrolled in the academy? Of course, the kids would laugh, who wouldn't? The age gap is something to laugh about but even so you could handle their mockery, your desire of this dream is much greater. However, as you finally arrived home, your hand hovered above the handle of the door. You'll probably need your parent's permission since they are responsible for your well-being. Would they support you if you asked? Taking a deep breath, you grabbed the handle with more strength than it is necessary. You won't know if you do not ask them.
With the new-found determination that you didn't even know that you had, you entered ready to face them. You weren't surprised to see them inside the house finishing some things. Your mother was in the kitchen while your dad seemed to be fixing a window. Once they spotted, you greeted you with a big smile. A shared one of your own and simply stood there forcing your brain for the perfect words. This didn't escape your parents, they sensed your seriousness and decided to stop what they were doing.
"Is something the matter?" There was concern showing in your mom's voice worried that perhaps you had run into trouble.
There was a shake of your head and then you smiled at them. " I just have so much to tell you."
They sighed in relief. "That's great! We also have great news to tell you."
Of course you couldn't wait to tell them but what they told you also got you very curious, besides it only felt right to let them talk first. "What exactly?"
They glanced at one another and your father embraced your mother before he spoke of the news. "We looked around the village and we're lucky to say that we found jobs, for the three of us."
That was rather fast, usually to would take maybe around a week or so to find a job. "That's great!"
"Now, what is it that you have to tell us?" They walked to the small table which was surrounded by four wooden chairs. They took two motioning for you to take one as well.
Your hands trembled of excitement and nervousness, but you knew you had to tell them. "I met some kids, and they're really nice. I know I only met them yesterday, but I really like them. I love this place so far, I'm very happy that we're staying." Rubbing your arm in embarrassment, you looked away. It felt strange talking to them, you haven't done something like this; of talking about your feelings and emotions.
"Oh, honey! We're glad to hear that! About your friends, tell us more about them." The woman with [H/C] encouraged you, looking even happier to look at you so thrilled for something. It was rather comical how happy they looked, their happiness resembled that of the first time that you first began to walk.
"They're around my age and they're Shinobi and Kunoichi." At this they shared a worried glance but did not interrupt you. "There's a really nice girl, her name is TenTen. Her teammates are Rock Lee, Neji and their Sensei, Might Guy. I met them yesterday at the training grounds." Again, they did not share a word but by their serious looks, they did not like where this was going. For a moment, you lost your determination but if you didn't do it now, you won't get to do it later. "I've never talked about how I felt, but I always wanted to belong somewhere, a place to call home. It might sound all to sudden, but I have always thought about it. I just admired the Shinobi and Kunoichi, of how they protect their homes and their loved ones. I also want to do that, to protect this place which will be my home. But most of all to protect you."
