It seemed like destiny or body have yet to give up, destiny has other plans for you while your body refused to die. Your consciousness had yet to return as you were carried away, and even as your body remained in the water for far too long, brain instantly commanded for your body to lower the beats of your heart, lowering your breathing.

Once the river found peace, its waters calmed down pushing your body to the side and on land. However, because of your bodies’ state, your brain decided to shut down every function of your body. But things work for the best, and it turned out that a group of travelers, mostly a family, was just passing by, gathering water before they departed.

A child, perhaps around twelve, had been given the task of gathering water but he caught sight of your form and, like he had been warned before, he hesitated before approaching your body with precaution. He noticed that you were facing down, face buried into a pond of water around your head. The water around your form was tinted of red, in a hurry and without thinking, he kneeled pushing you to your back. A sigh of relief left his lips as you seemed to breathe but with difficulty.

“Ren! Get away from her!” His mother hurried it to his side when she realized that he was taking longer than usual, so she set out to search for him. Panic entered her body, she rushed forward grabbed her son and pushed him behind her. “How many times have I told you not do get close to strangers?” Without turning around, she scolded the teen.

“B-but she’s alive!” The young male tried to push his way to your side, only to be stopped once more by his mother.

After hearing the commission, the father emerged from the abundant trees and with widened eyes, he sprinted to his family. “What happened?” In a stern voice, he questioned as he inspected your body. “She is alive, but I doubt that she’ll survive with those wounds.” Letting go of your arm, and placing it at your side, he rose to his feet.

“But dad, can’t we do anything to help her?” The young male inquired.

The older male pursed his lips, as the water around you was tainted by nothing but red. But what bothered him about you was that you carried nothing that proved from what village you came from. He concluded that in other for you to be well equipped, you either must be a Kunoichi or a thieve. The latter seemed to fit you since there was no evidence to prove otherwise. But then again, he could be wrong and if that was the case, he would be leaving an innocent individual to die. “We’ll patch her up and take her to the nearest village. Hopefully we can make it in time and maybe something can be done to save her.” With that, he nodded to his wife while he took you in his arms and carried you to their camp. Once there, the woman gathered anything that she needed to patch you up and stop the bleeding.

The family carried you to a small village where they left you at the small hospital, they gathered their supplies and a few hours later left. You had been taken care of, they did what they could, but only wished that you’ll wake up from the comma soon. If you didn’t, there wasn’t much they could and with no money to provide for your care, your time in the hospital was ticking.
