Legolas's pov

I wake up, feeling awful. My chest throbs painfully, my head pounds, and an aura of sorrow fills the space around me. But I am more awake than I've ever been.

"Hello?" I croak. The person next to me grabs my hand.

"Legolas?!" They exclaim. I clutch his hand tightly, and my eyes flutter open.

"Ada?" I breathe, squinting to look at his face. When he sees me, his eyes light up and a tear slides down his cheek.

"Oh Legolas!" He cries as he wraps his arms around me, holding me close. His hand bumps into my wound. I yell out in pain.

"Tanya awra!" I screech. (that hurt!) Ada instantly withdraws and looks at me with an apologetic look, as he strokes my hair.

"Amin hiraetha, ion nin." He soothes. (I'm sorry, my son). I feel my body relax at his words. I close my eyes again, taking advantage of the calmness. I open one eye.

"Ada?" I ask. He looks down at me with gentle eyes.

"Yes, ion nin?" He questions. I swallow hard, not knowing exactly what to ask him.

"Is Glynn...?" I leave the question hanging. My father looks away from me.

"Glynn is fine." He states simply. I narrow my eyebrows.

"Is she really?" I demand. All I can remember is a voice telling me that she was okay, and then my father telling me their bad been another Orc attack, and she had died. I do not know what to think anymore. Ada looks at me, grinning slightly, with a glint in his crystal blue eyes.

"Of course she's fine, ion nin, why wouldn't she be?" He asks. I turn my gaze to my window, looking outside at the trees.

"It must've been a dream." I murmur.

"What did you dream, Legolas?" My father inquires. I look back at him.

"That Glynn died." I whisper. Ada's eyebrows shoot up, and he shakes his head.

"No ion nin, Glynnii is very much alive." He replies. "In fact, she's come to visit you twice already." I sign in relief, but the deep exhale causes my chest to ache. I wince slightly.

"Are you okay, Legolas?" He questions, with a tone and look that reminds me of my childhood. Suddenly I feel like a little elfling again.

"It hurts Ada." I whisper. He clutches my hand and gazes at me with loving eyes.

"Amin mela lle, ion nin." He murmurs. (I love you, my son.) The pain dulls with his words.

"I know Ada, I love you too."
