Glynnii's pov
I stand in front of the cell in silence for a long time. A long time of not seeing any sort of sign of living creature. I finger my knife in boredom. Why did I agree to this job? No ones been the same after we had Thorin Oakenshield and his company escape our dungeon. King Thranduil was appalled that we had dwarves escape from right under our noses, which resulted in extra guarding and a better organized dungeon, not that we needed it. We were all just fooled by a hobbit, we later found out.
Suddenly I hear scuffling in the cell. I look into the cell and see a small shadow of a creature moving.
"What is it?" A small raspy voice asks. I frown slightly. I watch the shadow come closer to the cell door. "What is it, precious?" Then it cries out loudly. "PRECIOUS!!!!!!!" It wails, slamming it's fists into the ground. In the swarms of shadows, I see a pair of wide blue eyes looking up at me. Gollum crawls closer to the door. "What is it?" It asks again, starring at me intently.
"Glynn!" A voice calls. I turn and see Legolas hobbling towards me. "Don't talk to him." He mouths. I nod.
"Glynn?" Gollum says. "Glynn? Glynn the elf! Glynn the elf!" He chants. Legolas waves me over to him. I walk over and lean close to him.
"Don't speak to it." He whispers, his hair tickling my cheek. Heat rises to my face when I realize how close we are. I nod.
"Are you alright?" I ask him, seeing how pale and weak he looks. He sighs and shrugs.
"I suppose." He murmurs. He clutches his chest and grimaces slightly. I wrap my arm around his shoulder to help him upright.
"What's wrong?" I question. He moans slightly.
"Help...me...back to...my Ada...." He grunts.
"Okay," I wrap my arm around him more strongly.
"Where is the elf going?" Gollum wails. So much of me wants to talk to the poor creature. To pity him. And help him, because it seems no one else has. But I needed to help Legolas. I needed to help him to get to a place where he could recover. I would come back to Gollum later.
