Legolas's pov

Glynn was correct. Thranduil, my Ada did welcome me back. In the beginning, he was so relieved to see me alive and back. He held me in a tight embrace and got my shoulder and other wounds tended to immediately. But as soon as I was in a healthy condition, my father turned to his harsher ways, especially when I found out that during Glynn and I's absence, Gollum had managed to escape.

The king seemed to grow less and less fond of me, especially when I asked him about Galather he grew furious and then ordered me never to speak of him again.

Glynn and I spent whatever free time we had together.

But that quickly ended when I was sent out of Mirkwood, as a punishment for Gollum'a escape. It was not permanent. I had to tell Gandalf and the elves of Rivendell that I had lost Gollum. Shortly after that the Ring of Power was located with a Hobbit named Frodo Baggins. It was then I joined the Fellowship of the Ring to destroy the Ring in Mordor.

When the Ring was destroyed, I returned to my home to continue my duty as the Prince of Mirkwood.
