Two diary's and a broken heart

31 December 2016

Tyler sighed as he threw his suitcase away and laid down on the couch. He stared at the ceiling of his new home. He was 24 and decided it was time to live on his own. He and his parents had looked for a house and this one seemed pretty good. And it was a nice house.

It was small but cosy with only one sleeping room, a bathroom and a living room. It didn't have a wide garden, but it was close to the forest so if he wanted to see plants he could go there. It had this mysterious yet comfortable feeling on it. Perfect for a writer like him.

Tyler smiled. This might actually give him some good ideas. He didn't have them a lot but when he had one, he would work and go 100 percent for it. He believed that as long as you truly wanted it you could do it.

He stood up with a groan. While whistling a song he carried his suitcase and back to his sleeping room. He didn't take much with him: money, some clothes, his laptop and phone, sketchbook and camera. And of course his hygiene: toothbrush, comb, etc.

He opened the closet to put his clothes in but his eye fell on something else. It was a small notebook, probably left by the previous owner. He picked it up. It had a little dust on it, which he blew off, just to reveal a black leather with gold inscription on it:

Taglibro

Tyler recognized the language. It was Esperanto and it meant Diary. He carefully opened it. It were old papers, yellow brown because of age. 50 years old, he estimated, judging by the way it was stored and the paper quality. He turned the first page.

Date: 1 January 2017

He looked at his phone. It was 31 December. He frowned.

Dear diary.

What exactly does Life have against me? I can't help but think that Life tries to get rid of me...still, somehow I can't seem to stop laughing. There was this man – tall, muscled, defined jawline, warm eyes, curly hair, not to mention extremely handsome – right out of a superhero movie. He jumped before the car and shove me out of the way. I really wish I could thank him with coffee or something. He practically saved my life and then disappeared without a trace. *huffs*

E.N

Tyler smiled at the last part. She sounded cute. He turned the page around.

Date: 2 January 2017

Dear diary.

Today it wasn't my fault – I swear! There were three guys, waiting in the alleyway behind the supermarket, all taller than me (which isn't really hard to be honest). They threatened me if I wouldn't hand over my money and phone; I mean, what could I do about that? But of course, the fucking knight in shining Armor. Is he like a stalker or something? How does he always know where I am? And why does he only appear when I am in trouble? Is he just silently waiting in the bushes to help me? It's kind of freaking me out. One more meeting and I'll ask him.

E.N

Tyler giggled. Yes, he actually giggled. This girl is pretty funny, he thought, looking over the "Fucking knight in shining Armor" and "all taller than me, which isn't hard to be honest". He did wonder who the man was. He sounded kind of like him – tall, defined jawline, muscled, curly hair – but how would that work out?

The next page was blank. He made a disappointed sound by clicking his tongue. He wanted to know how it ended. Because it was from the future it obviously wasn't real. So was the ending already known?
