║Chapter 42║

My mouth hung open in shock as I let a soft, 'oh' noise pass my lips. Turning up to my pale faced brother, I stepped away from him noticing Stiles blinked a tear out, facing me again. ''I don't know who took the body, I-i didn't see that.'' Theo added on.

''Theo- stop.'' I choked out, a slight sick feeling appearing in my stomach as he turned to face me. The brown hair boy breathed out before changing the subject, ''we should take Josh's body off the roof, we might find out who's taking the bodies.''

Despite his good idea I couldn't focus on anything. Surely there must have been a mistake- I mean Stiles.. He killed Donovan. No, no. I refuse to believe it. Of course he never meant to do it so that doesn't mean he killed him. What I mean to say is that Stiles din't murder Donovan, he didn't purposely mean to- I mean especially if Donovan was trying to attack him first. It was self defense. I just couldn't stand the fact that Stiles will constantly blame himself for this- no wonder he's been feeling so much anxiety lately.

''No..'' Stiles bluntly breathed out. ''Stiles.'' Theo moved closer. ''I killed him out of self defence, he was going to kill you- and your sister, and me- we either take the body or make a false statement to the police.''

Stiles took a breath and looked up to face Theo, ''I don't want to ask you to lie to my dad.. I've done too much of that already.'' Stiles muttered as I breathed out, sensing that people were approaching the roof. ''Well.. We need to take the body then. There's gonna be people swarming this roof in a minute.'' I spoke up as Theo nodded the two boys facing me.

Once we got to the vet clinic, we kind of showed Scott the body and lied to him- well if you would call it that. The alpha assumed that Josh was killed by a dread doctor, Theo calmly agreed- man he's good at lying.

''What should we do with the body?'' Stiles slyly changed the subject as I looked over my brother in concern. ''Keep him here.'' Scott spoke up. ''Since Tracy's body was stolen from here we should stand over and watch him.''

''I'll stay and watch- it's not like I had a big Saturday night planned.'' Theo breathed out as there was a buzzing coming from the table, Scott slightly shuffling over to grab it as he went wide eyed reading what must have been a text.

''Guys- Liam found another chimera.'' He read out as my stomach dropped hearing his name. ''Oh.'' I quietly spoke. ''Who is it?'' Stiles questioned, frowning. ''Hayden..''

What?

All eyes were on me as I realised I spoke out loud. ''H-hayden?'' I clenched my teeth together, an indescribable feeling racing over me as the three boys awkwardly stared at me.

''Yeah.'' Scott coughed out, ''we should go check it out.'' He then stood up, Stiles also doing the same. ''I-I don't know if I wanna come.'' I stammered, Theo's eyes meeting mine for a second before I turned to face the body tucked under the blanket.

''Well you can always stay here.'' Scott offered as I turned back up to Stiles who looked like he was biting down on his lips to stop something from spilling out of his mouth.

''I-''
''No- you can't stay, look you don't have to do anything to with Hayden, I'm just not having you stay here with Theo and a possible dread doctor or four.'' Stiles spoke as I coudn't help but let out a pathetic laugh towards my brother. ''Fine.'' I was only agreeing because I couldn't be bothered starting a full sibling argument right now.

I flashed Theo a sad little smile as he laughed shaking his head before the three of us climbed into Stiles' crappy jeep. ''You don't have to be so.. Cruel towards him Stiles..'' I quietly chucked, Scott's lips picking up as Stiles breathed out, shaking his head before setting off.
