Thirty Minutes Later

Natalie walked outside, going towards the place where Rick and Shane were standing.

Rick took notice of the distraught look on Natalie's face.

"Nat, what's going on?" Rick asked, angry at Shane, but concerned about Natalie.

"It's Beth," Natalie said quickly.

Rick immediately dropped what he was doing and ran towards the house.

"The girl okay?" Shane asked gruffly.

"What the hell do you think," Natalie scoffed.

"Is it cold out here or is that your attitude?" Shane snapped.

"It's probably your heart," Natalie snapped.

Shane licked his bottom lip angrily.

"Where's the old man?" Shane asked gruffly.

"Herschel is missing," Natalie answered, trying to be calm, despite her anger.

"The hell you mean he's missing," Shane snapped.

"He's gone. And I don't blame him. He thinks you just murdered his wife and stepson," Natalie snapped.

"They were already dead. The man's an idiot," Shane said gruffly.

Natalie scoffed loudly.

"What if it was me in there? What if it was Nicky and I? How would you feel if some man you don't even know just came up and shot us, not even caring about who we were and what we meant to you?" Natalie snapped.

Shane sighed angrily, walking past her and going towards the house.

"That's what I thought," Natalie muttered angrily under her breath.

She quickly collected herself and went back towards the house, needing to check on Maggie.

She found Maggie still sitting by Beth's bedside as Patricia examined her.

"How is she?" Natalie asked, leaning against the doorframe.

Maggie just shook her head silently.

"I'm really sorry, Maggie," Natalie sighed.

"Is there anything I can do?" Natalie added.

"Find Glenn for me, would you?" Maggie said, wiping her tears.

"Yeah, sure," Natalie said gently.
