The Enemy - Scott

The alpha pack had been in town for a few days now. The pack was constantly running after them, but you never went with them. They always insisted that you come, they could use the extra help, but you always had an excuse.

The reason? Well, Kali had taken you in when you were very young. Your parents were part of her pack before she joined Deucalion and the other alphas.

They couldn't afford to take care of you. It was too dangerous when you were with them and they simply didn't have enough money, so Kali promised to take care of you for them.

She never killed them either, not even for Deucalion. She told them to run when he instructed her to kill her pack. She loved them like family.

Kali was like your adoptive mother, so you couldn't fight against the alphas. The other alphas were also like your family. You were only a beta, but they all loved you, except for Deucalion. He saw a beta as a threat to a "harmonious pack" as he once told you.

You also couldn't fight with the alphas, because then you would be fighting against your best friends. Your second family. And your boyfriend, Scott.

One day you were at home, the shared home of all the alphas and one beta. You were doing your homework when Deucalion knocked on your door. You saw him in the corner of your eye, "Hi Deucalion, what's up?"

"Hello (y/n), something's been bothering me lately."

"Oh, what is it?"

He walked up to you and grabbed your face with his clawed hand, turning you to look directly at his blind eyes now glowing red, "You better stay away from Derek Hale's pack. It won't end so well for you if you don't."

You gulped, "H-how do you know?"

His claws dug into your cheeks a little bit causing you to hiss in pain, "Don't ask questions. Just do as I say."

He let go of you and walked out of your room, slamming the door. You began to cry, that other pack meant a lot to you. You had no idea what to do.

~The Next Day~

You were laying on Scott's bed, snuggled against him. You felt safe in his arms, but couldn't help to be afraid as Deucalion's words replayed in your mind. It was also scary to think about what Scott would do if he found out you were with the alphas.

Scott's voice broke the silence, "So are you coming with us tonight?"

"Where?"

"We're going to find the alphas tonight. We could use your help (y/n), you're a lot stronger than you think you are."

You gulped, "Not against them. I can't Scott."

"The pack needs you. It would kill me to see you get hurt, but I know what your capable of. You've trained with me, Derek and the others before."

"I just can't Scott. I'm not strong enough. Plus I need to babysit my neighbors' kids tonight. I can't cancel that."

He sighed, "Ok. I won't force you. One day you'll come with us, right?"

You didn't want to let him down, "Yeah. I will."

"Good. I love you!", he kissed the top of your head.

You smiled, "I love you too!"

~Later That Day~

You walked through the door and was greeted by Kali, "Excuse me miss where were you?"

"At a friends house.", you smiled innocently.

She smiled too, "Just tell me next time, I was getting worried."
